From what I have read, I concluded that this is a "second-grade" mushroom, quite a lot of mess with processing. Reviews say the Hydnum repandum is best of them all, in terms of cooking purposes, delicate taste, 10 points out of ten, etc ... I don't know, I have no experience myself.

Yeah they tend to break apart while cleaning them, not quite as nice as a king bolete but they have a unique fresh mild taste.
