I’ve heard it is actually not better to make the bed. If you make it right away the moisture and heat trapped under the covers increases the number of creepy crawly microscopic critters living within your sheets!
Better to peel back your sheets and let the fresh air circulate.
Yeah, I've read that too. That's the reason that housewives in Japan typically hang the futon outside everyday to let the sun kill any and all critters. A bit tougher to do that with a full sized bed.
I did for years. I’m usually very warm and rarely ever get under the covers. I typically sleep on top of them. But I totally understand the thought process.
Starting the day with an easy win can help us stay motivated throughout the day, it happens often in business too, when a company is going through hard times and a new management is brought on board, they mostly focus on small wins, improving the product or service, increase staff welfare etc, before restructuring the business and going for the bigger goals.
I sleep on a bare mattress, so I think I'm excluded lols

I used to all the time, neat and tidy, but some years back, on my own and the only one that would see it either way, I stopped. I now only make it all the way up when I put clean sheets on.
You will know I am mental when I tell you that a ruffled bed looks inviting to me, so it doesn't bother me at all !
We only make our bed when we are camping in the trailer. At home it's a free for all. We don't use a top sheet, just a fitted sheet and we use the Finnish sleep method where both of us have our own blankets. It allows us the ability to move around easier and adjust to our preferred temps. We also have lighter blankets we use in the summer versus the winter. Well I do anyway, I think @mrsbozz used her winter blanket all year last year.
Very cool! I have heard this many times throughout my life and I definitely find it to be true.
One thing that really is bothering my OCD though while watching the video. While the guy is talking about precision, his hat is crooked. Sorry I can't help it. lol
In all seriousness though, I think it's a great idea. One of the big problems people have these days is complete lack of focus and discipline. I bet this simple act every day done with pride would really contribute to ending the day with a sense of accomplishment.
I still do, military training sticks with you through the years! He's right though, those little things do matter. You can't cut corners when you're doing a good job on any task.

Yeah, I think this idea of an easy win can be carried to many things.

Finnish sleeping method... that sounds interesting. I'll have to look it up.
If you can't find it try Scandinavian method.

haha yeah I noticed his hat, but I didn't know if that was a Navy thing or a SEAL thing or if it was just accidental. I tried to ignore it 😃
