This was a stupid thing to do (and say) at any time, but imagine how awkward it would have been if he went to receive the Oscar after this episode. Not that anything seems too low for Hollywood in recent history.

Will slapped chris.. then half an hour later he picked up his award..it was indeed highly awkward for everyone!
I'm afraid these Hollywood stars (be it actors, directors or whatever) live in their own bubble and lost all connection with the real world. Maybe they end up believing life is a continuous movie.
yeah.. so true.. especially the most famous and powerful.. except one or two REAL special ones.. like my favorite Jim Carrey.. who i think is virtually enlightened! and spoke out against this..
sadly they are also victims of a very powerful institution , Hollywood.. and to be a part of it means acting like they want you to act.. sad but true.. corrupted!
