RE: Braving Life's Tragedies

There is an old saying that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Adversity, although it seems easy to say, also helps to grow, to value our life and our environment more. There is nothing like a catastrophe, just as you show it to us, to see that deep down, we are nothing more than simple branches that sway vertiginously to the beat of the wind. This harsh reality of the situation you are experiencing is a thorn in everyone's heart. Because, as the poet John Donne said: ask not for whom the bell tolls, they toll for you. My most sincere solidarity and reiterate, that in what is in my power, you can count on me. An affectionate greeting from Madrid.

Warm greetings @juancar347. Indeed, we gain more strength through the tough adversities we face. Through these challenges, our survival mechanisms are ultimately tested, it's like being transported back to the Stone Age by thriving with our basic instincts. Super typhoon Rai (Odette) was the worst disaster I've experienced. As crippling as it was to my health, work, and life in general, I've learned to accept the harsh reality that cruel tragedies do exist happen during expected times. Now, it's just a matter of embracing the right attitude when coping with them.

I'm truly glad to be back. And I appreciate all the kind gestures and concerns you've shown while I was away. Rest assured, all our activities would normalize as soon as possible. Thank you very much for being there during great and bad events. I could not have done this without your care and support. Take care, my dear friend. 😊
