We do know that we get inspiration and impulse and we can see the outcomes, but there is a lot that is invisible to us when considering what generates a specific thought - for all intents and purposes, it just "appears" out of thin air.



I think it's also worth noticing the importance of how we relate to our thoughts. I believe most people associate thought with their being, meaning they don't see the distinction between the voice in their head and their identity. Looking at thoughts as external objects of our minds brings much more awareness and allows for calming down the inner voice, and thus shields us from becoming overwhelmed by extensive thinking.

This week has felt long, as there have been quite a few things going on that have eaten my attention and, I have also been quite sick with an annoying flu.



Highly recommend getting familiar with the Wim Hof Method breathing, as it's been proven to dramatically reduce inflammation within a quarter of an hour, meaning you can quickly fend off flu or common cold :)

Yes. There is a difference between thinking a lot, and getting lost in thought. As with anything, attachment leads to suffering.

I haven't heard of the breathing technique, but thankfully, I rarely have a flu that bothers me. This one is pretty annoying though.

Nicely put. Attaching our identity to things, prevents us from experiencing the true freedom.

In regard to the breathing method, there's other benefits too like for eg. improved focus and productivity. Lately I've been advocating the breathing and the cold therapy to most of the people I engage with, as the scientific research and the testimonials from practitioners clearly show the positive impact these techniques have on one's well-being :)
