Mental health is a very personal thing, and it can be hard to know where to start when trying to take care of your own. It is also close to my heart as some people that I do know of are suffering from such disorders, as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder ( both are diagnosed by professionals and not from google searches.)
You may feel like you're the only one dealing with specific issues or that there's no one who understands what you're going through.

However, there are many things you can do—sometimes just by making small changes in how you think about yourself and how others treat you—that will help improve your mental health and well-being while making life more enjoyable overall. Here are some simple ways to get started on caring for your mind:
Don't be afraid to ask for help.
Don't be afraid to talk about your feelings, and don't be afraid to reach out to those who care about you. But keep in mind that not all can be trusted and some will just listen because they just want to be in the loop.
This can be a difficult step for some people, but it is worth it in the long run. It's okay if you don't know how to get started with this, as there are many resources available online that can help guide you through the process.
Many people also find that talking with their friends and family is helpful when they are unsure of where else they should turn for support. If nothing else works out, then don't hesitate from seeking professional treatment from a medical professional who specializes in mental health issues!

Don't feel ashamed.
Sometimes, it’s okay to feel weak. Sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help. Sometimes, it’s okay to be vulnerable and imperfect and human. You are not alone in this experience and you can do things to better manage your mental health.
Get educated.
Getting educated is one of the first steps in caring for your mental health. You need to know the facts, which can help you understand what you are dealing with, what options are available to you, and what treatments are available. Knowing these things will make it possible for you to make an informed decision about your care—and take action!
There are a ton of webinars that talk about mental health nowadays, back then when the pandemic hasn't started availing to such talks is close to zero. I also follow Mental Health PH on Twitter as they do some interactive talks and spaces relating to the subject.

Be kind to yourself
It's not easy, but it’s true: you will make mistakes and have setbacks. That's part of life, and nobody is perfect all the time. I would remember being upset about multiple failed tasks in the past and even low scores at work due to some oversights, somehow I am competitive at work, and getting called out hits a toll on me.
You are not alone in this struggle! If you can learn how to be kinder to yourself, your mental health will improve dramatically.
Don't try to fix everything at once.
You don't need to be perfect.
You're not going to fix everything at once.
It's better to focus on one thing at a time and do that thing well.
It's okay to have mental health problems and ask for help; it doesn't make you weak or crazy
You are not alone, and you don't have to suffer in silence.
It's okay to admit that you need help. It's okay to be different from the norm and embrace it! Being crazy is great! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
While I am creating this blog post I just recalled an open mic event that I had attended four years ago relating to depression. If you have some leisure time you can watch the video below, the quality is too bad as my device isn't that on par with the device that I have right now.
Mental health is so important, yet it's often overlooked. The good news is that there are many simple ways to improve your mental health and keep yourself from getting overwhelmed or depressed. By taking care of yourself and tackling things one at a time, you'll be surprised how much better your life can become!

Mental health is another aspects of life that needs much attention. Many people tend to forget this aspect and sometimes didn't give attention for it. In reality, we can have someone to talk to about our problems but there are lots of people too who need professional help but they can't have because of financial problems.
Indigent people will end up being crazy because they can't afford and sometimes even don't know where to go and what to do.
Thanks for these reminders @tpkidkai
Can't agree more, finances is quite a bummer. Back then when we are not capable of seeing a professional it was a total chaos, we do not know whom to reach out to especially that substances are required to stabilize ones self. Glad that it is working and now some are living normally with some triggers still.
I am actually happy that mental health is being considered and gradually recognized by the society. Dealing with mental is a struggle for all of us. I agree that we don't have to be afraid of seeking help because wr can't deal it with our own.
Thanks kuya for reminding us that protecting and caring our mental health is needed.
It is truly a struggle and most of the time the one who experience more of these scenarios are youths and middle-aged people. Kapit langs.
I think our generation have more struggles and stressful environment due to fluctuating of trends and labels given by the society. That you have to do this and that, you must be like this and that, and you should get course like this and that. A struggle!
Other people sometimes don't make a big deal about this kind of matter but the deadliest enemy is something we can't see such as those cases in mental health.
Those suggestions mentioned above is highly recommended. I was never diagnosed by professionals but I can observe something in me that my mood changes very often even in simple things. That's why nililibang ko sarili ko sa panood ng anime to divert the negative mood.
Asking help when we go through this is the least we can do to show to ourselves that we care and love it.😊
Exactly Jhero, others really don't care about it. At times errr it is kinda a drama perhaps that they are avoiding. I myself tries to stay away, as I become to invested to people that have such problems. Though I want to help, I am far and can only give what I can in the meantime.
This one's good! Find something that can deviate the negative energy from flowing.
Laban lang Jher!
Indeed. I remember one of the article that I read saying hinto ka muna saglit , Hindi Naman Tayo minamadali ng Mundo. We are facing a problem now both side ng family namin ni hubby and it's really exhausting but then nilalabanan ko padin lahat ng negativities for I know its only temporary.
This! Prayers for you and your family Yen I appreciate you dropping by.
I checked it on google, but can't find it once you saw it pa drop link naman :) tenchu.

I usually do it on other's posts but haven't used the bot last night thanks for the reminder., Kinda sleepy already as it was published few minutes before I hit the sack last night.
I feel a little closer to peace by being reminded with great words about mental health from time to time. I am beyond glad that mental health awareness is deliberately tackled nowadays compare to days back in the pre-pandemic. Thanks for sharing this, kuya @tpkidkai! Padayon tayo.
There's a ton available now Desch - good thing nalang talaga we have such na. Been working and studying to such if I have some time din to improve and better understand some and be updated as well.
Laban langs.
This type of content helps everyone to normalize the discussion about mental health. We are encouraging people to be more transparent about what they feel; letting them know that they are not alone.
<3 yes they are not alone in this battle there's a ton of allies and advocates na around.
Well written.asking for help doesn't mean you weak .it simply says l admit l can stand but here and there a hand to help me stand still goes a long way
I know you've heard this so many times from friends and family that you're probably sick of it by now. Yet, it's one of the most important lessons that I want to impart onto you: hugging yourself can be just as important clinically as self-directed therapy.
Don't be afraid to talk about your feelings and don't be afraid to reach out to those who care about you. And don't underestimate the power love, it's the reason why people are able to go through depression.
Good read, thanks for sharing! 😊
