Marvel has been introducing new little know superheroes in the past few years and it has been fun to see how much variety there is among them. Shang-Chi is another notorious example of a character whom I didn't know but ended up loving.
It is understandable for Marvel to do this as they will need more main characters for their future movies and stories, their universe is constantly expanding and my only wish is for them to keep the quality high. Plus, many people have been loving the majority of Marvel productions, myself included with a few exceptions such as the Hawkeye series which was horrible, so the expectation is for new ones to continue to be produced as time goes on.
The main character in this series begins as a very normal guy in his 40s with a job at a museum's gift shop and very profound knowledge about ancient Egypt because it is a topic he feels passionate about but this hasn't allowed him to obtain a better job.
He doesn't seem anything special, and in a way, this reminded me of the Spider-Man character before he gained his powers with the difference that this character is slightly older.
Soon enough in episode 1 something inexplicable happens to him where he somehow teleports to a very strange place while asleep, and things get super crazy very fast because somehow, he is now hearing a very intimidating voice that no one else can hear, and if that wasn't enough, he has an ancient item that the local people are desperately looking for.
There also seems to be some type of cult with the leader Arthur Harrow played by Ethan Hawke, being very insistent in taking control of the ancient item. This cult will prove to be more resourceful than many viewers will expect, they can be literally everywhere and pose as normal people.
Marvel ha estado presentando nuevos superhéroes poco conocidos en los últimos años y ha sido divertido ver cuánta variedad hay entre ellos. Shang-Chi es otro ejemplo notorio de un personaje que no conocía pero que terminé disfrutando.
Es comprensible que Marvel haga esto, ya que necesitarán más personajes principales para sus futuras películas e historias, su universo se está expandiendo constantemente y mi único deseo es que mantengan la calidad alta. También parece haber algún tipo de culto con un personaje llamado Arthur Harrow interpretado por Ethan Hawke como su líder, este culto es muy insistente en tomar el control del antiguo objeto. El culto también va demostrar ser más poderoso e influyente de lo que muchos espectadores esperarán, pueden estar literalmente en todas partes y hacerse pasar por personas normales.
He quickly begins to get kind of haunted by a scary-looking figure with a huge walking stick and an ugly-looking mask. Most people would think they are going crazy when enduring similar circumstances, imagine hearing a strange voice from time to time, while also seeing a strange figure suddenly appearing in different places. In most cases, the person would be literally going crazy, but on this occasion, he is simply dealing with paranormal forces outside of the understanding of any normal human.
He will be a lot of trouble accepting what's happening to him and why he is involved in conflicts he doesn't even understand. Many things will be confusing for him because he is in the middle of a conflict involving the weird cult, the strange voice he hears, and the alternative conscience that somehow is also inhabiting his body.
I would like for this series to make a better job introducing all of this mythology and lore because I simply had no idea about who were these ancient Egyptian deities and why there was such a huge conflict. The series didn't make a good job explaining the background of the story, especially the origins of the Egyptian deities, and people who don't know anything about Moon Knight, like me for example, will feel a little lost.
The new powers introduced in the series leave many other superheroes completely behind when it comes to the magnitude of their capabilities, these are ancient powers or I guess these could also be described as magic, and I would say the beings controlling these powers belong to the major leagues of super powerful entities. Having good aim when shooting arrows as Hawkeye does is something insignificant compared to these ancient powers.
It surely looked like there were a lot of interesting historic events prior to the current conflict and without knowing about them the story felt somehow incomplete.

La mayoría de las personas pensarían que se están volviendo locas cuando viven circunstancias similares, imaginen escuchar una voz extraña de vez en cuando, mientras que también ven una figura extraña que aparece repentinamente en diferentes lugares. En la mayoría de los casos, la persona se estaría volviendo literalmente loca, pero en esta ocasión, simplemente está lidiando con fuerzas paranormales fuera de la comprensión de cualquier humano normal.
Tendrá muchos problemas para aceptar lo que le está sucediendo y por qué está involucrado en conflictos que ni siquiera entiende. Muchas cosas serán confusas para él porque está en medio de un conflicto que involucra el culto extraño, la voz extraña que escucha y la conciencia alternativa que de alguna manera también está habitando su cuerpo.
Me gustaría que esta serie hiciera un mejor trabajo presentando toda esta mitología porque simplemente no tenía idea de quiénes eran estas antiguas deidades egipcias y por qué había un conflicto tan grande. La serie no hizo un buen trabajo explicando el trasfondo de la historia, especialmente los orígenes de las deidades egipcias, y las personas que no saben nada sobre Moon Knight, como yo, por ejemplo, se sentirán un poco perdidas.
Los nuevos poderes introducidos en la serie dejan a muchos otros superhéroes completamente atrás cuando se trata de la magnitud de sus capacidades, estos son poderes antiguos o supongo que estos también podrían describirse como magia, y diría que los seres que controlan estos poderes pertenecen a las grandes ligas de entidades súper poderosas. The next episode, the fifth one was one of the most revealing ones because it showed a lot of information about the main character and it was now finally possible to understand many things about him, including some personal info about his childhood. This was my favorite episode due to all of the revelations that took place.
The series has an ending that invites the viewer to think which new adventure is awaiting this peculiar character and it seemed like his story is only just beginning with many more things to come.
Final thoughts
All in all, the series was quite fun to watch. It would have been much better to have a broader background about the Egyptian gods and goddesses, but maybe this would be explored in a future production?
This series is among the best ones from the Marvel cinematic universe, I would put it almost on the same level as WandaVision, which is my second favorite so far with the first one being obviously the Loki series.
Moon Knight has a very intriguing background and is one of the most mysterious characters ever to be introduced in a live-action Marvel production. The presence of paranormal and ancient entities was nice to see and I wonder what type of help will this character provide when bigger threats begin to appear.
I really hope to see more of this new superhero in future Marvel productions because I think he has much more to give and it would be a cool addition to new Marvel movies where they join many superheroes together in a single battle.
El siguiente episodio, el quinto, fue uno de los más reveladores porque mostró mucha información sobre el personaje principal y ahora finalmente fue posible entender muchas cosas sobre él, incluida información personal sobre su infancia. Este fue mi episodio favorito debido a todas las revelaciones que tuvieron lugar.

Esta serie está entre las mejores del universo cinematográfico de Marvel, la pondría casi al mismo nivel que WandaVision, que es mi segunda favorita hasta ahora con la primera siendo obviamente la serie Loki.
Moon Knight tiene un trasfondo muy intrigante y es uno de los personajes más misteriosos que se hayan introducido en una producción de acción en vivo de Marvel. La presencia de entidades paranormales y antiguas fue disfrutable de ver y me pregunto qué tipo de ayuda proporcionará este personaje cuando comiencen a aparecer amenazas más grandes.

What made this movie great for me was Oscar Isaac's performance. I like how he switches between the two main personalities so effortlessly and is very believable. I think he was a good pick for the role of Marc Spector.
I really like the storyline of this movie especially when we get to learn about Marc and Stephen's childhood. You're right though, it would have been nice to get a little more background on the gods and not just see them fight each other. Speaking of which, I feel like the other gods and their avatars were really downplayed. I just feel like they were defeated so easily to save screentime and that wasn't cool.
In the end though, the first season of this show was good and the cliffhanger was even better!

Yep, that would have made the story much more complete in my opinion, besides, it would have also made things more interesting.
There was certainly a lack of balance, all those deities are supposed to be equally important, and the show could have made a better job making this clear for the viewer. However, since we are living in an era where spin-offs are super popular, I wouldn't be surprised if sooner or later those characters are explored in more depth.
I am looking forward to seeing more of Moon Knight soon enough.

You don't make a movie about a particular Egyptian deity by downplaying the other deities, most of whom are more supreme. Moon knight is amazing but the screenplay (especially during low lighting) pisses me off for some reason. I agree with everything you said. 7/10. Wonderful review
I think it is clear it could have been better by exploring more about the Egyptian lore, but the show was all right and the character is cool so I consider this series a success. Thanks for the visit!

En lo personal creo que esta serie se merece un 8/10 en efecto todo queda en los últimos dos capítulos pero en verdad hacen que todo valga la pena.
Mi capitulo favorito y para mi el mejor capitulo de todas las series de Marvel, es el capitulo 5, en verdad el origen del personaje es brutal así como la canción con la que este culmina

Ese episodio estuvo bueno. La serie pudo haber sido mejor, pero valió la pena verla. Este súper héroe creo que tiene mucho potencial para hacer cosas interesantes más adelante.
Suena muy interesante la serie sobre todo por su contenido histórico de una cultura qu resulta apasionante como lo es el mundo egipcio cuna de grandes misterios, aún cuando señala que tiene muchos vacíos en este sentido el hecho de ponerlos en el tapete hace que se despierte la curiosidad y más cuando hay un súper héroe de por medio. Efectivamente, incluir la cultura egipcia se siente como algo refrescante e incluso innovador. Esa es una de las razones por las que me gustó la serie a pesar de que pudo haber sido incluso mejor.
