What made this movie great for me was Oscar Isaac's performance. I like how he switches between the two main personalities so effortlessly and is very believable. I think he was a good pick for the role of Marc Spector.
I really like the storyline of this movie especially when we get to learn about Marc and Stephen's childhood. You're right though, it would have been nice to get a little more background on the gods and not just see them fight each other. Speaking of which, I feel like the other gods and their avatars were really downplayed. I just feel like they were defeated so easily to save screentime and that wasn't cool.
In the end though, the first season of this show was good and the cliffhanger was even better!

Yep, that would have made the story much more complete in my opinion, besides, it would have also made things more interesting.
There was certainly a lack of balance, all those deities are supposed to be equally important, and the show could have made a better job making this clear for the viewer. However, since we are living in an era where spin-offs are super popular, I wouldn't be surprised if sooner or later those characters are explored in more depth.
I am looking forward to seeing more of Moon Knight soon enough.
