Hello my dear moviegoing friends! Today I am going to tell you about my experience knowing a "DBOX" movie theater.
As I told you before, I became a member of "cinema fan", a subscription that gives me a 50% discount in Cinemark and Hoyts movie theaters. They also give me 2 free monthly tickets and discounts at Candy Bar.
If you do not use any of your monthly tickets, they become cumulative throughout the year and you can use them whenever you want.
If there's one thing I love is going to the movies, so this time I let some tickets get together and invited my girlfriend and best friend to see the new Scream movie.
Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Hoy voy a contar mi experiencia conociendo una sala de cine "DBOX".
Como ya conté en otra oportunidad, me hice socia de "cine fan", una suscripción que me otorga descuento del 50% en salas de cine de Cinemark y Hoyts. También me regalan 2 entradas gratuitas mensuales y descuentos en Candy Bar.
Si no usás alguna de tus entradas mensuales, estas se vuelven acumulables durante todo el año y las podés utilizar cuando quieras.
Si hay algo que amo es ir al cine, así que en esta oportunidad dejé que se me junten algunas entradas e invité a mi novia y mejor amiga a ver la nueva película de Scream.
I got the tickets for the last show, which was at 11:14 p.m. because I think it's very exciting to be able to enjoy these movies at night.
As soon as you enter the cinema, there is a small sample of the "DBOX" experience where you can sit in the seat and live the moment in the first person. But I preferred to leave it for the time of the movie and meet it there for the first time.
Saqué las entradas para la última función, que era a las 23:14 porque creo que es muy emocionante poder disfrutar de estas películas por la noche.
Apenas entrás al cine, hay una pequeña muestra de la experiencia "DBOX" en donde uno se puede sentar en la butaca y vivir el momento en primera persona. Pero preferí dejarlo para el momento de la película y conocerlo ahí por primera vez.
- The DBOX rooms have special seats with motion sensors accompanying the special effects of the film.
Viewers can control and choose any of the three intensity levels to their liking.
Las salas DBOX cuentan con butacas especiales con sensor de movimiento acompañando los efectos especiales de la película.
Los espectadores pueden controlar y elegir a su gusto cualquier de los tres niveles de intensidad.
We arrive, look for our popcorn and enter the room.
Llegamos, pasamos por nuestros pochoclos y entramos a la sala.
What I could see at a glance is that the room is similar to the others, the only difference is that in the middle sector there were three rows, literally three simple rows with the "special seats". They were quite comfortable, not as comfortable as the one in room 4D. That he had told them before. On the side could be found the buttons to control the movements.
Lo que pude notar a simple vista es que la sala es similar a las demás, solo cambia que en el sector del medio había tres filas, literalmente tres simples filas con las "butacas especiales". Eran bastante cómodas, no tanto como la de la sala 4D. Que les había contado anteriormente. Al costado se podían encontrar los botones para controlar los movimientos.
The truth is that it was not a big deal, I expected more. In the sample that was outside the cinema it seemed more interesting and it even seemed that the seat moved more. Something that did not happen in this one.
It didn't seem like anything to write home about, I prefer a thousand times the 4D room. Although I had a great time and the movie seemed like a success, I would not pay for a room like this again. I don't know very well which room and which seat came out first in theaters, but it seems that the "DBOX" is an old model of technology compared to the others.
I understand that there are more rooms and I am going to get to know them little by little to show them. The next one will be the comfort room which I have no idea what it is.
La verdaaaad es que no fue la gran cosa, me esperaba más. En la muestra que se encontraba fuera del cine parecía más interesante y hasta parecía que se movía mas el asiento. Cosa que en este no pasaba.
No me pareció nada del otro mundo, me quedo mil veces con la sala 4D. Si bien la pasé super y la peli me pareció un éxito, no volvería a pagar una sala como esta. No sé muy bien qué sala y qué butaca salió primero en los cines, pero pareciera que la "DBOX" es un modelo viejo de tecnología a comparación de las otras.
Tengo entendido que hay más salas y las voy a ir conociendo de a poco para mostrarles. La próxima será la sala confort que no tengo ni idea de qué se trata.
As you may have seen, the idea was not to review the movie, because there are already many very good posts talking about it. My post actually talks about the experience itself, of seeing it in a room other than the 2D one we're used to seeing.
Como habrán visto, la idea no era hacer una reseña de la peli, porque ya hay muchos post y muy buenos hablando de la misma. Mi post en realidad habla sobre la experiencia en si, de verla en una sala distinta a la 2D que estamos acostumbrados a ver.
