If I have to think in two characters that somehow left a mark in me as villains, I immediately think of Dolores Umbridge and Cersei Lannister; each one for different reasons. One I completely hate, and I seriously mean hate as a profound feeling. The other one I can't help but to love her as such a great almost flawless villain.
Si tengo que pensar en dos personajes que de alguna manera dejaron una marca en mí como villanos, inmediatamente pienso en Dolores Umbridge y Cersei Lannister; cada una por diferentes motivos. Una que odio por completo, y me refiero en serio al odio como un sentimiento profundo. A la otra no puedo evitar amarla como a una gran villana casi perfecta.
Dolores Umbridge
Dolores Umbridge is an old cat-lover always-pink lady magician in the the Harry potter saga. She performs as a secondary villain in The Fenix Order movie. She becomes a substitute teacher for the defense against the dark arts class. Then she becomes the Ministry inquisitor with powers to control Hogwarts to a certain extent. Finally she takes over Dumbledore's position and runs the school.

How just an old lady can awaken strong hate feelings towards her? What is it about her that makes her so despicable and hated? The main point is her personality.
Dolores has this main attribute of blindness. She goes blind to things in her reality she doesn't want to admit or assume at all. She acts with a squared short mind, forcing happiness over her face and pretending no matter what she is always right. Yes, I know; pretty much a psychopath.
¿Cómo solo una anciana puede despertar fuertes sentimientos de odio hacia ella? ¿Qué tiene ella que la hace tan despreciable y odiada? El punto principal es su personalidad.
Dolores tiene este principal atributo de ceguera. Ella se vuelve ciega ante cosas en su realidad que no quiere admitir o asumir en absoluto. Ella actúa con una mente corta y cuadrada, forzando la felicidad en su rostro y pretendiendo que no importa lo que siempre tiene la razón. Sí, lo sé; más o menos un psicópata.
I felt frustrated each step of her story inside Hogwarts. She refused to listen, understand, or even give room to any idea outside her "perfect" reality. Harry tried in vain to reason with her till he discovered her sadist nature on behalf of a greater good. Honestly, I hate her. Entitling herself to be always right and being so blind, so deaf to what reality actually looked like, I just couldn't stand her.
Me sentí frustrado en cada paso de su historia dentro de Hogwarts. Se negó a escuchar, comprender o incluso dar cabida a cualquier idea fuera de su realidad "perfecta". Harry intentó en vano razonar con ella hasta que descubrió su naturaleza sádica en nombre de un bien mayor. Sinceramente, la odio. Dándose el derecho a tener siempre la razón y ser tan ciega, tan sorda a cómo se veía la realidad, simplemente no podía soportarla.
That minute I knew the character was built in a brilliant manner. It got me to hate Dolores, and it is a villain after all, so the purpose was met when she successfully brought those feelings in me, and I'm sure in many other Harry Potter fans. I compare her to Gondor's Senescal and his blind acts towards his son Faramir. It just produces the same kind of frustration and hate.
En ese minuto supe que el personaje estaba construido de una manera brillante. Me hizo odiar a Dolores, y es un villano después de todo, así que el propósito se cumplió cuando ella trajo con éxito esos sentimientos en mí, y estoy seguro que en muchos otros fanáticos de Harry Potter. La comparo con el senescal de Gondor y sus actos ciegos hacia su hijo Faramir. Simplemente produce el mismo tipo de frustración y odio.

Oh the moment that psycho with superiority complex finally met her end was glorious! She totally deserved it! If you were near me watching that part of the movie, you would probably hear something like "TAKE IT, YOU B*TCH!".

Cersei Lannister
Cersei Lannister is one of the main heirs of the Lannister house in Game of thrones. She starts as the Queen married to King Robert Baratheon. From chapter one you discover her evil actions and how she would do anything to protect her family and interests. Now, what it is so exquisite about the development of Cersei is how gallantly, almost flawless, bitchy, classy, strategic, manipulative, and even righteously she plays the Game for the throne; to keep it and defend it. A queen piece on a chess board being able to move farther and better than any other, that is Cersei Lannister.
Cersei Lannister es uno de las principales herederas de la casa Lannister en Juego de tronos. Ella comienza como la reina casada con el rey Robert Baratheon. Desde el capítulo uno, se descubren sus malas acciones y cómo haría cualquier cosa para proteger a su familia e intereses. I came to love her because, every great move she did surprised me. I even felt like celebrating her victories even though she was transforming in the great villain of the story. I didn't care. She played hard; she played intelligent; she played with a glass of wine in her hand.
Llegué a amarla porque cada gran movimiento que hacía me sorprendía. Incluso tuve ganas de celebrar sus victorias a pesar de que se estaba transformando en la gran villana de la historia. No me importaba. Ella jugó duro; ella jugó inteligente; ella jugó con una copa de vino en la mano.
The greatest moment of all for me was when she won the game against the church of the seven Gods. The high Sparrow gained so much power with religion, he even managed to capture Cersei and diminish her for her sins. Cersei went through all that crap, she played well. I didn't saw her counter move, it was so majestic. Everybody on a master move was burnt by Valyrian fire. The nun that tortured her was humiliated beyond recognition. All her enemies disappeared at once as she once again held a glass of wine. her subtle smirk for that victory was glorious.
El mejor momento de todos para mí fue cuando ganó el juego contra la iglesia de los siete dioses. El alto Sacerdote ganó tanto poder con la religión que incluso logró capturar a Cersei y disminuirla por sus pecados. Cersei pasó por toda esa mierda, jugó bien. No vi su contraataque moverse, era tan majestuoso. Todo el mundo en un movimiento maestro fue quemado por fuego de valirio. La monja que la torturó fue humillada más allá del reconocimiento. Todos sus enemigos desaparecieron a la vez mientras volvió a sostener una copa de vino. Su sutil sonrisa por esa victoria fue gloriosa.

I honestly wanted a better end for her. I don't think her end gave justice to such chess game played so fierce during all seasons. You were the true lion of Lannister House Cersei; you certainly knew how to roar.
Sinceramente, quería un mejor final para ella. No creo que su final le hiciera justicia a un juego de ajedrez tan feroz durante todas las temporadas. Eras el verdadero león de la casa Lannister Cersei; ciertamente sabías rugir.

I wasn't really much of a Harry Potter film fan even though I have read most of the books but I totally agree with Cersei. Her character and the actress that played the role were absolutely perfect. Well, that is until season 7 and 8 anyway but that wasn't her fault.

Yes, they just gave a severe turn at the last seasons, but I also think the actress did a flawless job!

There are too many great characters in GOT, it's hard to pick just one.
I agree with you about Cersei, but my favorite villain is Joffrey, although he isn't as smart as his mother.
Indeed, it is hard to make a pick. Joffrey was sadist and horrific, he deserves our hate too lol. I agree, not as clever as mama lioness.
They're both good villains. Can't stand any of them lol!
