Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.

The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Temporal and geographical alienation are forbidden.

Every once in a while, I stumble across something that reminds me what art should be. That I want something real. In my life. In the beautiful things I consume. All around me. Susanne Bier's phenomenal Open Hearts was such a reminder of what's real. From the very first shots, it's just brimming with this wonderful, acute sense of reality. No pretense, just this.

The Judge from hell (2024)

As I mentioned at the beginning, the interpretation of the main actress Kang Bit-na was very well executed, especially with her expressions, that turn from being human, to being a demon that does not forgive sinners for anything. As for the plot in general, I was very surprised that I liked it, the fact that at the beginning there were so many loose ends that were resolved as the story progressed, it kept you waiting and with great attention to what continued in the next episode; although I felt that it failed a little bit in the end, but overall, it is entertaining and you will have much satisfaction in how she gives her punishment to the criminals.

When the stars gossip | Series Review

One thing I can tell you is that this series promises to take over the screens this year, everything points in the right direction, I trust that it will become quite popular. Another thing I want to mention and that I really like is how things are changing, since they are being more diverse with the protagonists, you can start to feel the global inclusion in these series, now we can see actors who speak English and Spanish, I have even seen a couple of actors speak French, since last year you can see the efforts to let us know that they are aware that they have a very diverse community around the world and that to the extent that they can they include foreign actors to make us feel close to them, and this work is greatly appreciated.

Un domingo y muchos dibujos animados

After a while we moved on to a series that was not one of my favorites although it was for my wife @lunacreciente and it was her turn to choose. I still enjoyed that time with the X-Men but as I said, it was not one of my favorites even so there is no doubt that this animated series of the 90s is one of those milestones of the childhood of many. And no wonder, it is one of the best. What's more, I would be lying if I didn't tell you that even though it wasn't one of my favorites, I was looking forward to the evening so I could watch my cartoons and among them, the great mutants of our childhood.

TV series: Querer* (2024) A Trial for Gender Violence

I also highlight that circumspect suffering, which is something I see a lot in Spanish productions. The education to cope with disaster, emotional intelligence. It can also be an element that underlines the way the average Spaniard is. It reminds me a lot of a popular phrase: “The procession goes inside”.

Close your eyes

After having come this far trying one more time, close your eyes. You see, there is a lot that this animated movie leaves us with, it is not a simple story, a story of herd, feline fights to be King. I bring up another point and it is the sense of feeling family even if we feel disoriented, Mufasa never forgot his family and dreamed of a reunion, today this is so relevant for those who have been displaced from their lands due to social or political conditions.

De vuelta a la acción (netflix movie review)

This pair of spies are found by entities interested in their capture, and not only that, they are the only people who know the whereabouts of the key that can give access to everything in the world.

Review: The Last Duel | A Brutal Medieval Story That Will Shake Your Perspective

It’s not just about the action, although that is amazing, but it’s about the culmination of all the emotions, lies and truths that have been building up.. it’s messy, violent and utterly enthralling.. I was literally on the edge of my seat, heart racing, it’s the kind of scenes that stay with you for a long time.. Talking a bit about the length of the film, it’s almost two and a half hours.. it’s a total commitment.. although I was engaged and engrossed for most of the time, there were times where I felt the pacing dropped a bit, especially during the first act.. The multiple perspectives are fascinating but do make the film feel a bit repetitive at times.. that being said, the denouement is completely worth it.

(ESP/ENG) Análisis del Primer Juego y las Votaciones de la Serie del Momento: ¿Relleno o Impacto?

About this first part (or first chapters), both Stella and I felt it was somewhat of a filler. It seemed like they were dragging on too long and gave the impression that they should get straight to the point. When we finally reached the first game, it wasn't something very impactful either, as it was a dynamic that had been seen before. Despite that, there was a character that stood out: Tanos. This player consumed some kind of hallucinogen, which led him to push other people and cause their deaths. Another interesting detail was the attitude of player 456, who made an effort to save everyone. However, at first, nobody paid attention to him and some even laughed. But when the first death occurred, everything changed: panic took hold of the others, and in the end, many ended up following the instructions of 456 to try to survive. Although there were many deaths in this first game, they weren't as many as one might expect. When it came to the vote, the players realized that the prize to be shared was very low. This led some to reflect: many had million-dollar debts outside the game, and the possibility of dying outside was even greater than inside. I hope you enjoyed this review. Until next time!

The Deliverance - A dysfunctional family haunted by evil

I must say that the movie is not a plot that is already well known, demons that take over people, a haunted house etc.. But what made this horror movie different is that they added drama, history and that part of the family where there can be dysfunctionality, past problems and fractured relationships. I liked that and it was interesting. The thing is, that gave it a plus and made my interest piqued.
