RE: Invencible - Reseña // Invincible - Review

in Movies & TV Shows3 years ago

I absolutely love Invincible. I watched it back in April of last year after I saw just one scene on a friend’s phone. I just couldn’t believe how gory and bloody the animation was. After I saw episode 1, I was definitely left with my mouth wide open. I really wanted to understand what was going on.

I think these guys did good in highlighting some traumas that Mark and his mother experienced but yes you’re right, it could have been better. What I like though is that the series is not one where the protagonists always wins. How many times have we seen a story where a new superhero just emerges and somehow beats villains with years of experience. This one really moves away from the cliché to show us a weak little boy with actual teenage issues who suddenly has this overwhelming responsibility to save everyone but fails over and over again at the cost of countless lives.

One character that I really disliked was Amber. I mean, she was angry with Mark even after she knew he was a superhero with responsibilities. Then after everything, she just came over and kissed him? It was so annoying and wrong.

One character I want to understand properly is Robot. That character needs some more development. I also wish they could explain Rex’s powers better.

I agree with you that the animation needs to be improved. Let’s just what they have in store for us in the next season.

Great post. I enjoyed reading it! :)

You're right that it's nice that being a new superhero he doesn't win all his battles, although I found it a bit ironic and funny that he had the name Invincible when he's actually always beaten 🤣😂🤣....

I agree that Robot needs to show us more what he looks like, because he did, to have a body, it was super weird, almost to the point of looking like a villain. For a moment I thought he was being controlled and I didn't like that at all, because there was a possibility that Mark's father was also being controlled and I didn't want that to be the case, I wanted to see him as the villain from the beginning, not justify it somehow.

And yes, I didn't like Amber either. I did at first, but then I found her a bit of a drag. She even got mad at mark because he didn't "help" in the college scene and then she says she already knew he was a superhero, if she already knew then she also had to know that he did help. I think she got mad because he didn't have the confidence to tell her, but still, it's a bit over the top.

I liked Evatomica more and it also had a better development, that thing about wanting to save lives through other means is cool, it's like another way of being a superhero, fighting famine and so on, not just monsters.

This series is great, I feel it could have been much better, but still, it's super entertaining and amazing. Thanks to you for visiting. 💜
