Hey Carl! Thanks for checking out #hpw. I see you do quite a bit of wrestling content. That's awesome! Hope to see some of that content here. I really like your Today in Pro Wrestling History. This is a very new group on Hive, so thanks for subscribing.

Hello,
I just subscribed to HPW and will definitely be using it for the wrestling content my staff and me produce. I love these communities opportunities - something I wish Steemit had early on. Makes it so much easier to follow content you want to see without sifting through non-related articles that used a common tag.
Those Today in Wrestling History articles are something I really enjoy doing personally. I grew up in the 80s living through some of the most fun times in wrestling in general. I do them for video games too on my other site, again same reason - that is stuff I grew up with and enjoy.
Besides, there are more than enough sites covering current wrestling goings on. I wanted to cater to that crowd that remembers the 80's and 90's. For many of us, that was the best time for wrestling.
Yeah, I'm 41, so the 80s is my fav era. That's one reason why my friend @hiphoppington and I wanted to do a podcast about old school wrestling. So we are starting with the late 80s/early 90s era of WCW Saturday night. If you'd like to join us on an episode, we are going to do it on Zoom. So we can have as many people that want to join in.
Yeah, it sucks Steemit never had communities. They squandered 4 years almost.. it's sad. Steem coulda been far more developed over 4 years and actually gained a lot more users by now. The good thing is Hive should be able to do what Steem couldn't. Hopefully we'll see wrestling FB groups make the jump and try it out.
We also need mods for the group if you are interested. I mean there has never been a lot of wrestling content on Steem, so now it's just promoting it on social media and letting people know they can earn.
It would be great to see some wrestling podasts and media give it a try. The big thing too is I don't think indy wrestling knows the possibilities of what they can do with Hive. The ability to pay your talent, producers, editors, writers, etc. with the beneficiary option is great for wrestling. Indy wrestling relies on social media to promote and build storylines. Hive could do things that traditional social media just can't do with things like payments and tokens.
I am all for helping if I can.
Sweet. Added you as mod. I believe that gives you the ability to pin posts, and mute users in the community if they are not following the rules. You have experience with your fb group. Any suggestions?
Right now the big thing is getting people to post in the community and build it up. If we can get content going up then we can get eyes on the HPW community.
That's very true. There aren't many wrestling fans. I feel like you have to bring some content producers here: news, podcasts.... people who already create content. Most fans don't... but content producers could attract their casual fans who would come just to comment, like and share... and they would earn curation rewards while doing it.
Got a couple of indie wrestlers that are available for interviews and such if you are interested. Just let me know where to put them in contact with you guys.
Exactly. We get a handful of content producers posting regularly and fans will come.
