I'm Dave. I'm an adult filmmaker, former stand up comedian, and lifelong wrestling fan! Hope to jab with some folks about the current state of wrestling, as well as our fond childhood memories about the way it used to be.

What's up Dave. Nice to meet ya. Yeah, we love some of the current stuff, but it was just so much better back in the day. Talk to ya soon!

Hey everyone! My name is Mitch. I always love finding new wrestling communities online. I run a Twitter account and Facebook page with friends called Dank Wrestling Memes.

Personally I've really been enjoying New Japan and AEW the most lately. Occasionally watching ROH and NWA. I also loved Lucha Underground and was disappointed to hear it was probably done.

Also recently I've been thinking about starting the make fantasy booking videos sorta like Blampied from partsfunknown. I'm currently in the process of fantasy booking ALL IN II.

Awesome. Welcome to Hive! Hopefully you find some wrestling stuff you like here. Look forward to seeing some of your fantasy bookings. Hive would be a pretty unique way to do fantasy bookings because you can create tokens that represent belts and pass those tokens from user to user based on who you book as champ. Not to mention tokens to reward your community for participating in fantasy bookings.

Hello everyone. My name is Carl Williams, co-owner of Gravis Ludus Wrestling. I also co-own a gaming website Retro Gaming Magazine.

GLW is a Facebook group and website focused on wrestling in general. We prefer to cover birthdays, PPV events on their historical day, etc. We chose this path as there are plenty of sites covering every little detail of modern wrestling (at least AEW and WWE) but there is so much more out there.

We also work with promoters and athletes to improve things such as merch and advertising. This ties into my ownership of a PR company.

Been enjoying my time on Hive meeting new friends almost every day. Wonderful site. I am an old school Steemit user (joined in late 2016) so the whole Blockchain social media thing is not completely new to me. Still fun and a great community to be a part of.

Hey Carl! Thanks for checking out #hpw. I see you do quite a bit of wrestling content. That's awesome! Hope to see some of that content here. I really like your Today in Pro Wrestling History. This is a very new group on Hive, so thanks for subscribing.

Hello,

I just subscribed to HPW and will definitely be using it for the wrestling content my staff and me produce. I love these communities opportunities - something I wish Steemit had early on. Makes it so much easier to follow content you want to see without sifting through non-related articles that used a common tag.

Those Today in Wrestling History articles are something I really enjoy doing personally. I grew up in the 80s living through some of the most fun times in wrestling in general. I do them for video games too on my other site, again same reason - that is stuff I grew up with and enjoy.

Besides, there are more than enough sites covering current wrestling goings on. I wanted to cater to that crowd that remembers the 80's and 90's. For many of us, that was the best time for wrestling.

Yeah, I'm 41, so the 80s is my fav era. That's one reason why my friend @hiphoppington and I wanted to do a podcast about old school wrestling. So we are starting with the late 80s/early 90s era of WCW Saturday night. If you'd like to join us on an episode, we are going to do it on Zoom. So we can have as many people that want to join in.

Yeah, it sucks Steemit never had communities. They squandered 4 years almost.. it's sad. Steem coulda been far more developed over 4 years and actually gained a lot more users by now. The good thing is Hive should be able to do what Steem couldn't. Hopefully we'll see wrestling FB groups make the jump and try it out.

We also need mods for the group if you are interested. I mean there has never been a lot of wrestling content on Steem, so now it's just promoting it on social media and letting people know they can earn.

It would be great to see some wrestling podasts and media give it a try. The big thing too is I don't think indy wrestling knows the possibilities of what they can do with Hive. The ability to pay your talent, producers, editors, writers, etc. with the beneficiary option is great for wrestling. Indy wrestling relies on social media to promote and build storylines. Hive could do things that traditional social media just can't do with things like payments and tokens.

I am all for helping if I can.

Sweet. Added you as mod. I believe that gives you the ability to pin posts, and mute users in the community if they are not following the rules. You have experience with your fb group. Any suggestions?

Right now the big thing is getting people to post in the community and build it up. If we can get content going up then we can get eyes on the HPW community.

Just a heads up, this is the account we will be using to post Gravis Ludus Wrestling content here on Hive. This account is available to the management team of GLW (one of which is "triverse" here on Hive).

This account will allow GLW content to be properly indexed here on Hive without interfering with triverse's account.

Awesome! Looking forward to the content!

Hi guys!

My name is Kris. I love all things decentralized, crypto, bitcoin, Hive. Been in the space since 2012. Originally joined Steem in 2016. Glad to see the fork to Hive and the ability to create communities. I run a few different communities here.

Myself and @hiphoppington will be posting regular content here. We co-host a podcast "Why Are You the Way You Are." This will be a wrestling focused podcast centered on wrestling but will have crossover into other subjects along the way.

I hope you enjoy the community and our podcast.

Please take a few and introduce yourself on this thread.
