Whatever the reasons for their trips, older folks are traveling. According to a survey commissioned by IHG Hotels & Resorts and conducted by Talker Research, 59% of retirees are planning to travel more during retirement. Some are having “retirementmoons,” celebrating the end of their working years with a trip.

Going back a few years ago now, but this was my first foray to Madrid before I moved there for several years. I took part in a volunteer program helping Spanish people with their conversational English…

Fascinating experience, and went on to work for the company coordinating the English speaking side of those very same programs!
