Part 4/7:
Immerse yourself in Zadar's history by visiting the Roman Forum, commissioned by Emperor Augustus. It is Croatia’s largest forum and contains remnants of Roman ruins, giving visitors a tangible connection to the past. The Forum also features St. Donatus Church, known for its unique circular shape and exceptional acoustics, making it a fabulous concert venue.
Climbing St. Anastasia’s Cathedral
One cannot miss the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, or Zadar Cathedral, with its stunning Romanesque architecture. Located just a stone's throw from the Roman Forum, the cathedral’s bell tower offers a chance to ascend for breathtaking views over the cityscape, although many choose to admire rather than climb.
