As I became more familiar with the YouTube ecosystem, I noticed that monetization does not equate to substantial earnings initially. Throughout my journey, I’ve garnered a total of $317 in revenue, which, while not a fortune, reflects the income potential available when combining different types of content. Notably, I learned how varying content formats, such as shorts and live streams, would earn different rates based on engagement.
For instance, while my long videos yield a higher RPM (Revenue Per Mille) due to ads, my short videos received significantly less. Yet, it’s crucial for content creators to remain aware of the various revenue streams available on the platform, including ad revenue, memberships, and super chats, which allow for additional income opportunities.
