The contestants are subjected to a series of humiliating challenges, with dire consequences for failure.
As Kobe grapples with her new reality, she learns the grim backstory of Otis's mother, Ellen, whose tragic demise was an act of jealousy by Mr. Weir. Faced with the horrifying stakes of the pageant—where those deemed imperfect are eliminated in brutal ways—Kobe realizes that her only chance of escaping this madness is actually winning the pageant.
