As the festival spirals further into disorder, Kusuo's powers start to take a toll on him, especially when characters like Kokomi show unexpected persistence in seeking his affections. Locked in a storage room with Kokomi, Seiki realizes the extent of her manipulations, prompting a climactic moment wherein all his powers seem to unravel.
In a desperate attempt to save his friends and return everything to normalcy before it's too late, he utilizes time travel, ultimately leading him to repeat the events of the festival. This gives Kusuo a second chance to navigate social situations, particularly those involving Kokomi, while ensuring his friends' safety and well-being.
