  1. Text Sort: Confirm that you're sorting text, although there are options for number sorts or date sorts if needed.

  2. Order of Sorting: Decide whether to sort in ascending (A-Z) or descending (Z-A) order. For an alphabetical list, choose ascending.

  3. Header Row: If your list has a header (like "Band Name"), it's vital to indicate this to prevent the header from being sorted with the data. In this example, there is no header row, so you can proceed without that option.

After you've made your selections, click OK to sort the text.

Reviewing the Sorted List

Upon completion of the sort, your list will be rearranged alphabetically. For example, "A Flock of Seagulls" may now be listed at the top, followed by "Adam and the Ants," and so on, down to "Yazu."
