Endnotes serve a different purpose than footnotes, as they are located at the end of the entire document rather than at the bottom of each page. To insert an endnote, follow similar steps. Place your cursor where you wish to add the endnote and go to the References tab to select Insert End Note.
Alternatively, the keyboard shortcut for inserting an endnote is Alt + Ctrl + D, allowing a smooth transition to typing your endnote at the document’s conclusion.
It is essential to note the formatting difference: while footnotes are numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, endnotes generally use Roman numerals (I, II, III, etc.). This distinction is useful for understanding the hierarchical organization of references in your document.
