Contrary to popular belief, Boromir was not driven by personal ambition. His life was dedicated to protecting his people, the citizens of Gondor. Throughout his life, he was a stalwart defender of Gondor’s walls against the dark forces of Sauron, often at great personal cost. Every day, he and his fellow Gondorians faced the threat of orcs, reminding them of their precarious situation.
