The two judgments from FIFA, concerning the contractual obligations that Corinthians have failed to fulfill, date back to September and October of the previous year. However, the release of this information by FIFA has just now come to light. Both clubs took action against Corinthians, leading to these financial penalties due to unpaid dues.
Corinthians opted to appeal these decisions before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which could take over a year to resolve. As it stands, FIFA has mandated a payment deadline of 45 days, failure of which could lead to a transfer ban - prohibiting the club from registering new players for three transfer windows. Notably, due to the ongoing appeal process, this ban has not been enacted as of yet.
