This resource could not only support future astronauts but also be used for various applications. The Shange 7 mission is currently in the final stages of assembly and testing. Following this mission, the China National Space Administration plans to launch the Shange 8 probe around 2028, which will focus on experiments related to using lunar resources.
Creating a Lunar Research Station
By 2035, the intent is for Shange 7 and Shange 8 to form the fundamental groundwork for an international lunar research station. This center will serve as a hub for engineers, a laboratory for scientists, and a developmental space for international talent focused on deep space research.
