A critical component of this Kriya is the practice of Breath of Fire, a rhythmic and energizing breath pattern that facilitates the flow of prana (life force energy) into the throat chakra. This breathing technique, likened to a happy puppy panting, captures prana while opening the body and throat.
As we continue through the movement, the aim is to hold this breath while squeezing the Mulbandh (a contraction of the root locks), creating a powerful channel for energy to rise through the body into the throat area.
