Begin with a shallow dish containing flour. To this flour, add seasoning such as salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure that the flour is evenly seasoned.
Egg Station
In another shallow dish, crack one large egg and add a splash of water. Beat this mixture until combined. This egg wash will help the breading adhere to the chicken.
Panko Breading Station
The final station is where the magic happens. Use plain Panko breadcrumbs as the base, and mix in freshly grated Parmesan cheese for that rich, cheesy flavor. Season this mixture with salt, Cajun seasoning, and paprika, or substitute with Italian seasoning based on your preference.
