Max Clark attended Franklin Community High School, where he excelled in both baseball and football. However, it soon became evident that baseball would be his destined path. His commitment to powerhouse Vanderbilt came at the astonishing age of 14, illustrating his early promise in the sport. Despite having a disrupted freshman year due to the pandemic, Clark bounced back spectacularly during his sophomore season, which took his profile to new heights. He hit .450 with 30 RBIs and had an impressive .612 on-base percentage.
