The Jets are embracing a unique approach by opting for newer coaches rather than established veterans. This strategy lends itself to the idea of building a fresh foundation, underpinned by the aspiration for innovation and progressive thinking within the organization. While many veteran coaching minds could provide experience and stability, the Jets seem to prefer hiring young coaches with strong potential who may not have decades of experience behind them.
As part of this initiative, the team has welcomed a host of first-year positions across various coaching roles, including a first-time general manager, head coach, offensive coordinator, and now, linebacker coach—a clear shift in philosophy for the franchise.
