More contemporarily, the Cleveland Browns’ acquisition of Deshaun Watson has also been criticized as a historic misstep in trades.
In contrast, one could argue the Herschel Walker deal by the Cowboys, which propelled them to a dynasty in the early 90s, now stands as an example of how to leverage a seemingly high-value player for greater future gains.
