They initiated a study where researcher Margaret Howlett lived with a dolphin named Peter in a flooded house for months, attempting to teach the dolphin English. The situation took an unexpected twist when Peter developed romantic feelings for Howlett. When funding ran dry, the odd project came to an end, leaving behind one of the most bizarre studies in scientific history.
