Part 6/11:
After the withdrawal of Western manufacturers from the Russian market due to geopolitical tensions, Chinese brands stepped in to fill the void. Currently, 60 Chinese brands are vying for market share in Russia, accounting for nearly half of all car sales. However, consumer satisfaction appears low, with 70% of owners reporting issues with CVT transmissions, alongside complaints about reliability and spare parts availability.
This dissatisfaction is further magnified by maintenance costs; after five years of ownership, maintaining a Chinese vehicle can exceed the price of purchasing a new one. As issues persist, the future of these Chinese brands in the Russian market seems uncertain.
