When exploring psychopathy, Panzram exhibited various traits indicative of both factor 1 and factor 2 psychopathy, like manipulation, shallow affect, and poor behavioral control. Nevertheless, his lack of superficial charm or grandiosity reflects a departure from some psychopathy norms.
Furthermore, when conceptualizing Panzram’s profile using the Five Factor Model (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism), he displayed characteristics that skewed heavily towards low scores in Conscientiousness and Agreeableness while showing mid to high levels of Openness. His high impulsivity illustrated a dangerous blend of traits that produced a remarkably violent individual.
