Cultivate Mindfulness

The third lesson revolves around mindfulness, or sati, which refers to the practice of being fully present. Fear tends to reside in the past or future, and by anchoring ourselves in the present moment through mindful breathing or focused attention, we create space between ourselves and our fearful thoughts. Practicing mindfulness allows you to observe fear without becoming embroiled in it.
