Engineering Marvels: The Haste and Hamel Pipelines
Two types of pipelines were developed as part of Operation Pluto: the Haste and the Hamel.
- The Haste Pipeline was made of lead, wrapped in protective layers to prevent leaks, allowing it to be laid continuously across the water.
