In recent years, ESPN's relationship with the MLB has been fraught with discontent. Commissioner Rob Manfred has publicly expressed frustration with ESPN's diminishing dedication to baseball. The network's coverage dwindled to almost nothing outside of the much-anticipated "Sunday Night Baseball," which led to a perception that MLB was often overlooked. While some viewers may find this change to be beneficial—encouraging them to seek out analyses from more knowledgeable sources—it also means that the visibility of MLB was significantly diminished.
