Homemade Toffee: A Christmas Delight
Toffee is a classic holiday treat that never fails to impress. In this recipe, we're making a delicious homemade version that's loaded with nuts, topped with chocolate, and simply irresistible.
Preparing the Pan
To start, we'll line a 9x9-inch cake pan with parchment paper. This will make it easy to remove the toffee once it's set. We'll cut the parchment paper to size, slit the sides, and press it into the pan, overlapping the edges.
Building the Base
Next, we'll layer the bottom of the pan with a mix of toasted almonds and chopped pecans. This will provide a crunchy base for the toffee.
