Well, you could put it like that, but that does not take full responsibility. It's like we have emotional patterns imprinted in us by parents mostly. These are mostly blockages of energy. Our energy pattern attracts people to us to trigger us so we can re-feel the feelings which imprinted the pattern in us. We can mentally thank them, dismiss the messenger, and direct our attention on the feeling instead of the "story". Repetition of this will gradually relax the tension (unintegrated emotion) so we no longer attract people to trigger us. This is a very bruef explanation - best to do the Presence Process Procedure.
