A few more OG DeFi purchases...

Sigh.... I didn't think I would be able to help myself... in such a bloodbath of a week, which seemingly only hit crypto quite so hard... I couldn't resist unlocking a bit more of the stashed stablecoins to use on tokens that were a bit cheaper than they had been for a while. That is sort of the purpose of these stablecoin stashes, to jump into opportunities when they present themselves... There is nothing worse than seeing an opportunity to purchase crypto that has dropped suddenly pass you by because you are already all exposed to crypto with no ability to buy back in!

So, after purchasing a bit more of SNX, COMP, and UNI... and also getting a bit of SNX from liquidated stakers/traders.... it was time to move a bit further afield and see what else might be interesting from the OG DeFi projects. And of course, it would have to be AAVE, MKR, and LINK. These projects have been around for ages... and AAVE is my biggest regret, as I was toying around with trading when it was still LEND... and well, I was just trading on tickers rather than finding projects that seemed worthwhile and ground-breaking and sticking with them.. ah well, you have to learn these lessons the hard way!

So, two DeFi stalwarts to bulk up... and LINK the original oracle network that seems to be making forays into Real World Assets... the same as MKR. Again... all very interesting things that are happening... and possibly pioneers into bringing the old legacy stock system into some semblance of modernity!

Plus, staking is coming for LINK... already in test and limited roll-out... and AAVE and MKR already have their versions. Speaking of which, I probably should explore the DAI savings vaults again. It has been a very very very long time...

So, will these prove to be good buys? Who knows... I know that they probably won't explode as fast as the new shiny things... and I'm okay with that. I still think that they are now relatively firmly entrenched as near-essential infrastructure in the DeFi space, and so they will be quite difficult to replace.

Now is truly the best time to buy into crypto...

The prices have been brought down to how they were at around 6 months back...

Well... who knows, they can go lower!

If you don't take a chance you can never score big! I hope those bets work out, timing is about right I think!

Well, that is definitely right there! And it can't hurt to have a little punt with some disposable money that I don't expect to return back to me!
