Another busy week has passed (hence, the three day posting delay), and it's passed dye for my weekly Hive savings update. It's been a busy and productive period, filled with new delegations, purchasing second layer tokens, exploring Diesel Pools, and staying active on Hive using Ecency. Here's a detailed breakdown of my current progress towards my Hive goals.
My Hive Goals
- Hive Power Target: 7500 HP
- HBD Target: 1500 HBD
Current Status
Hive Power Progress
- Current Hive Power: 6188 HP
- To Go: 1312 HP
I'm inching closer to my goal of 7500 Hive Power. This week, my Hive Power has increased from 6144 HP to 6188 HP. Every bit of growth counts, and I'm pleased with the steady progress, although I would welcome a steeper one 😉
HBD (Hive-Backed Dollars) Progress
- Current HBD Saved: 1089 HBD
- To Go: 411 HBD
My HBD savings have also seen a healthy increase from 1066 HBD to 1089 HBD. Just a few hundred more to reach my target!
Weekly Progress (as of 15/07/2024)
Total Hive Power:
- Current: 6188 HP (increased from 6144 HP on 08/07/2024)
Delegated Hive Power:
- Current: 4100 HP (increased from 3798 HP on 08/07/2024)
Liquid Hive:
- Current: 259 Hive (decreased from 451 Hive on 08/07/2024)
**HBD (Saved):
- Current: 1089 HBD (increased from 1066 HBD on 08/07/2024)
Recent Activities
New Delegations: I've been delegating more to other accounts, such as @dab-vote, @empo.voter and @hivelist , and it's showing in my increased Delegated HP. However, I still need to review my older delegations to ensure they are still valid and beneficial.
Second Layer Tokens: This week, I bought more second layer tokens, enhancing my position within the ecosystem. My main buy was @duo a promising new token on the Hive blockchain, but I also increased my DBOND and DRIP holdings. Same as with the HBD, it's going up, just not fast enough to my tast! 😉
Exploring Diesel Pools: Motivated by my good friend @tydynrain, I've started looking into Diesel Pools. This is a new venture for me, and I'm excited about the potential it holds, and only three days in or so, I can only admit that I'm getting hooked already!
Active on Ecency: I've been quite active on Hive using Ecency, trying to get a fixed place in the leaderboard. Consistency is key, and I'm pushing myself to stay engaged and contribute meaningfully.
Action Items
- Review and Adjust Delegations: I'll revisit my old delegations to ensure they align with my current strategy and goals, and to weed out the dead ones.
- Continue Exploring Diesel Pools: I'll dive deeper into Diesel Pools to understand their potential benefits and risks better (risks???).
- Maintain Hive Activity: I'll stay active on Hive and Ecency to solidify my place on the leaderboard and maximize my rewards.

Great report, @borniet! Congratulations on your marvelous growth up to now, and I wish you ever-deepening success moving forward! By the way, there aren't many risks, other than a token going to zero, or what is called impermanent loss, which just means that the amounts of the tokens that you put in will slosh back and forth, as people swap one or the other token. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

That's why the pools are such an incredible potential income source, and if you keep adding to them over time you're gong to grow your holdings of all of those in the pools. Also, since you can remove your assets at any time, instantly, some of them can function something like a savings account, with the ability to withdraw and use the assets immediately.
That's what I did with SWAP.HIVE:CENT. The last time the rewards ended (they're always renewed), I withdrew my assets, a whole glorious gagglefuck of CENT, and over 16 SWAP.HIVE, that I then used to buy income tokens. It's also cool that I got it to that level just by adding a little bit over time. That happens with all the pools in its own way.
Oh, and yes, I need so very much more SWAP.HIVE, which is why I'm so focused on growing DRIP! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hahaha...yep, my SWAP.HIVE is going to be cycling back to DRIP for a while, but every day I see my DRIP and SWAP.HIVE incomes growing, which is exactly what I want! I'm glad that I got in on DRIP when I did, and with the quantity that I did, because now I'm able to grow my DRIP holding on both accounts, and quite quickly! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I assume it was still much cheaper in the beginning? I can imagine, I would love to have more drip as well. It is indeed auto-growth on steroids. But it’ll come, it’ll grow!
You swap.hive:drip pool tip is going to help greatly already;-)
Well the price was not too far off from where it is now, but the DRIP APR got lowered strongly, from 149% to 1%, so I went from receiving over 5 DRIP every day on my @tydyn.rain account, and after the APR change it dropped to around 0.5, so a notable drop. Because I got in a little more than a week before the APR change, I was able to grow my holding quite a bit beforehand. I think that we're both going to love that pool! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
