What will happen at Inauguration day
Both the stock market and Bitcoin are waiting for monday when the new President of the United States will be inaugurated. Its a long tradition and it will be a huge event, followed by the media worldwide.
It it also common, that the new President will not only give a speech about his plans for the next four years but also publishes his first decisions, mainly via presidential decrees. It will be very interesting to see what those will be and theres rumors already some will affect Bitcoin and the crypto regulation.
One thing Trump said during his campaign was for example to „commute the sentence“ Ross Ulbricht „on day one“. This guy got life sentence plus 40 years with no possibility of parole for creating the Silk Road, a dark web marketplace.
The markets have been green in anticipation this week with S&P index rising +3.7% and Bitcoin adding +9% so far. We will see if that trend continues next week but I personally have a quite good feeling about it. It depends not only on Trumps‘ start though but also on how earnings season will continue. Companies like Netflix or American Express will report their latest numbers coming week.
Wall Street is closed on Monday so fingers crossed for Tuesday to keep up the green rising.
