I was listening to the AMA at the part where they were talking about the benefits of premium. Pretty much that you would earn about $25 in rewards for a $10 spend. I've been premium for about 15 days and haven't received any rewards. Not sure how it works but I am pretty much just on threads.

If you have received 25$ on just threads that is awesome actually.
I see on your profile that you only have made 2 posts since being premium, and they are not from Inleo, so there is nothing for leo.voter to support in terms of long form.

yeah, I only post on threads. I haven't done long form content is a long time. I mainly focus on curation

It seems like the voter prefers long-form content posted from InLeo. I've done a few posts as tests in various communities and so far had one Leo voter upvote which definitely did not offset the cost to get premium but I enjoy having it.

Yeah, I used to get it quite a bit when I used to post but threads is the path to future so I only do that and curate. Curating and commenting are my favorites. I don't have for long form anymore lol

haha I feel ya. I am lucky if I get the time to make two long-form per week, usually I just don't have time. But threads, that I am able to fit in!

I'm surprised that long form is still a thing. Microblogging replaced it 10 years ago. The only one left is Medium and its not a money maker for authors. I remember there were tons of them starting around 2009. I used to make some nice income.

There's still a pretty thriving blogosphere if you know where to look! Substack, as an example, is a blog/newsletter hybrid that does quite well for the folks that use it. In some of the niche communities I'm part of too, like TTRPGs, folks still maintain a ton of blogs - mostly just not monetized.

Blogging is still there but most platforms moved towards monetizing in different ways. It went from mainstream to niche. Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram spent millions training users in short form. Its the easiest path for us.

Undoubtedly for now at least. I see a resurgence being possible (much like the trend for the newer generation diving into physical media), but that will remain to be seen. Currently, short-form content is king.

A lot of these rewards come from voting on posts. If you're posting frequently (a few times per week), then you're more likely to get decent sized votes on those posts. Threads is one aspect of the game, but certainly not the entire thing.

threads should be a bigger part of the game lol. I've been waiting for short form for years so I'm stickin with it.

I've definitely seen them curate threads

There's a daily prompt posted around 8 p.m. EST, and if you participate in those you can get a decent amount of curation!

prompt? have a link to it or an old one? I haven't noticed anything.

Just tagged you!
