I don't know but I would assume the wind would just be normal in powering stuff. I don't know if taking advantage of it will have any other environmental impact.
But I do think the turbines used will end up rotting for a long time in a landfill after they are done.

You don't think installing these would cause any environmental impacts? Disrupting fishing grounds? These windmills never leak? Don't kill birds?
