Rocket explodes in test carried out in the United Kingdom
A rocket engine exploded during a test launch carried out in the Shetland archipelago, in the United Kingdom.
The launch was the responsibility of Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA), a German company that has already commented on the situation and reported that no one was injured as a result of this explosion.
As for those responsible for the spaceport where this explosion occurred, SaxaVord Spaceport, pointed out that all safety protocols were complied with.
“This was a test and test campaigns are designed to identify problems before the next step”, can be read in the official statement shared by the BBC. “We will work with the RFA to understand and learn from the causes and support them as they move to the next phase of their preparation.”
