The creation of Tesla, Inc. dates back to the late 1990s when Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning began working on a project to develop an electric sports car. The company, initially called Tesla Motors, was founded in July 2003 with a mission to create affordable, high-performance electric vehicles.

The initial investors in Tesla included Elon Musk, who would later become the CEO of the company. Musk provided some funding and helped bring in other investors, and he also became involved in the development of the vehicle. In 2004, Eberhard and Tarpenning recruited Ian Wright, a former BMW executive, to join the team and serve as the company's first CEO.

A great summary of #tesla. There is a lot going on with some of these companies.

I think the market will have more acceptance of electric cars in the future.

More and more people are opting for this type of vehicle and perhaps we will see a growth in more companies focused on this type of manufacturing.

Of course, Tesla is currently the leader in this segment, but I believe that more companies will be able to compete in the market.

The Chinese are leading the way. That is the top car market and 30% of new car sales last month (June) were BEV.

The Chinese are incredible. If there isn't much competition, they will dominate everything.

They are more than just #technology thieves. That might have been the case in the past but that is no longer the case.

In 2005, Tesla Motors unveiled its first vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car that could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds. The Roadster was initially intended to be a limited production vehicle, but it ended up being a success, and Tesla was able to secure more funding to develop new models.

In 2008, Elon Musk took over as CEO of Tesla, and under his leadership, the company began to expand its product line. In 2010, Tesla released the Model S, a luxury electric sedan that quickly gained popularity for its performance and range. The Model S was followed by the Model X, a luxury electric SUV, and later the Model 3, a more affordable electric sedan.

Tesla also made significant investments in battery technology and energy storage, launching the Powerwall and Powerpack products in 2015 and 2016, respectively. These products allow homeowners and businesses to store energy generated by solar panels or other renewable sources.

Today, Tesla is one of the leading electric vehicle manufacturers in the world, with a market capitalization of over $1 trillion. The company has also expanded into other areas, such as solar energy and autonomous driving technology, and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the transportation and energy industries.
