I like the idea of complimenting $BTC with a stable coin like $HBD. Like Dan said...
Let's use it like a Trojan horse. step 2 is to show these merchants how to hold a stable coin to avoid volatility.

It was really nice to have Starkerz here in Venezuela. It motivated a lot the community and we also got to have a different point of view on what Hive can really become for us.
I think the venezuelans could partner with co-working spaces and have more face to face events and also provide devs with the environment to do technical meetups.
Yeah, a few guys here already had that idea and the alliances are starting to get consolidated. We have had a few events on those co-working spaces and in my city we do have open access to some spaces as an exchange for us to teach their employees about Hive.
Early stages but coming soon
I would even think bigger and partner with other chain communities and have a larger group willing to support the expenses. Even onboard some corporate sponsor like Bitfinex, BitGet, or Binance.

Actually, binance is restricting big whales to farm "13%" APR on Usdt by making it limited to 0 to 500 usdt amount total will get 7% extra APR.
They were offering before 8% for USDT but now the percentage is decreasing
A percentage of the interest earned on HBD savings could be in the form of 'reward points' that can only be spent at authorised HBD outlets, which incentivises people to spend HBD and also businesses to sign up and get involved.
A lot of innovation can start to take place. We could really layer the "rewards" with a bit of creativity.
Layer 2 is going to be a major playground for this in my opinion. People can get very innovative in this regard.

Lightning Network is not the future of BTC, I would say a lot of people are running away from it and realizing it as a huge mistake to bet on that.

Nope. They dont give a hoot. Their focus upon HBD is much different than what is being discussed.
Yeah, If it changes people will be scared thinking something bad is happening, but if it changes to build something that will be equally beneficial for us and then more beneficial for Hive and the HBD, then people will accept it and root for it.
Just keep the community informed, and certainly from sources that are not those that low key hate the latin community (and part of the african community) that every time they bring this issues they mention us like we are doing something bad and it is a way to punish us. We have to start somewhere, now people do exchange to fiat, but we are working towards reducing it to the minimal expression.
