Next to it was also a CRT monitor, keyboard and mouse. The only thing missing to make it complete was a hard drive.

It turned out to be a fully functional PC with a Celeron CPU (Pentium III based) running at 700MHz and 256MB of RAM.

It appeared to be an HP Pavilion 6745C or similar model.

I upgraded it to 384MB and a 750MHz Pentium III. Actually, it was a 1GHz Pentium III but the limited bus speed restricted it to 750MHz. PIII vs. Celeron also doubles the L2 cache.
