Hello Everyone,
Welcome to Saturday Savers Club for 2025!
Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency for any purpose. The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have fun in the process.
Saving is a skill that takes time and practice to acquire and, like learning any skill, doesn't always go the way you planned. Saturday Savers Club provides a framework that you can use to help you on your way, plus tips to support the skills you need to design and manage your own savings plan.
Here's what happened in the first year of Saturday Savers Club.
How To Join
Saturday Savers Club is very informal and friendly - we work together to support each other. There are no leader boards or competition, it's about each person finding the best way to save to reach their goals.
We all have different circumstances, opportunities and challenges. Everyone is welcome, whether they are saving .01 HIVE every week or whether they are on their way to 100,000 HIVE.
All you have to do to join is comment each week:
- when you are ready, leave your primary and, if you have one, secondary savings goals in a comment on the weekly post.
- let us know how you are getting on in a comment each week.
- check out other savers and support them with a comment.
That's it!
The Savers Chart
Once you have told us your primary and secondary savings goals, they are added to the Savers Chart in the weekly post. This brings extra benefits:
- you become eligible for the draw for two EDSI each week.
- you can take part in the Prize Draw and other challenges.
- you can be sponsored with HSBI.
Most importantly, the Savers Chart is about your commitment to saving: it helps you to be accountable and gives you a gentle reminder about your savings each week in your notifications.
Let us know in the comments when you have reached one of your savings goals - we'll put an emoji to show your achievement. You can check last year's Savers Chart in this post. The results:
- 59% Savers participated regularly in the Club.
- 44% Savers reached one or more Savings goals.
- 51% Savers who participated regularly achieved one or more goals.
Using the Penny a Day Savings Challenge
It's good to have a framework when you start saving and we're going to use the Penny A Day Challenge. This starts nice and easy, so slow you don't even notice, just day 1, put aside one penny (0.01), day 2 put aside two pennies (0.02), until week 50 when you end up with 60,035 pennies or 600.30 USD or GBP (or HIVE or HBD).
You can do the Penny A Day Challenge with any unit of currency - pennies, cents, hive, bitcoin - whatever you have lying around and you can easily get your hands on. You can keep physical pennies in a jar, or save them in an account, maybe in a credit union, or save digital pennies in your hive wallet.
At the end of the post is a chart you can use to track your progress. Just copy and save to your device. You can join the Club and start saving at any time of the year.
The Saturday Savers Club is going to use the weekly chart in the Resources section below. Each week, the equivalent amount is going to be put aside in the Hive savings wallet in the @susie-saver account and recorded in the weekly Saturday Savers Club post. This year we are going to be saving HIVE (day 1 = 0.01 HIVE, day 2 = 0.02 HIVE etc) to grow the account to Minnow status.
You don't have to follow the Saturday Savers Club framework. Just choose the plan that is right for you.
Here is @justclickindiva's experience of following the Penny a Day Challenge.
Have a Savings Goal
One of the biggest things that makes a difference to saving successfully is having a savings goal - for Saturday Savers Club, that's something you want to achieve by the end of 2025.
In 2022, @phoenixwren saved for a keyboard and @lauramica for a trip to a distant province. In 2023, @nkemakonam89 saved for school fees and @deraaa's savings helped her to move house.
Reasons to Save - Some Savings Goals
- Become a Hive Minnow
- Build an Emergency Fund
- Clear Debt
- Pay for Christmas (or other celebrations)
- Have a Crypto portfolio or become a HIVE business owner
This year, the Saturday Savers Club will be saving HIVE to become a Hive Minnow by the end of the year. If you're a new or small account, save along with us and become a Minnow (or maybe you want to become a Dolphin or an Orca)?
What's the goal for your savings?
2025 500HP Prize Draw
This year the Saturday Savers Club is offering two opportunities to win 500 HP in a prize draw.
To be eligible for the draw, you must:
- leave a comment on this post with your primary and secondary (if you have one) savings goals for the year.
- in the same comment, post a snapshot from hivestats.io of your HIVE and HP and total HP author and curation rewards by the deadline: 18:00 UTC on 31 January 2025 (Here's an example).
- actively participate in the Club by commenting at least 40 weeks of the Savings year (80% participation).
- post a comment with a snapshot of your results on the week 50 Saturday Savers Club post by 18:00 UTC on Friday 19 December 2025. (There will be a reminder nearer the time).
Class 1 Accounts with less than 6,000 HP in January 2025:
- save at least 600 HP author and curation rewards by 19 December.
Class 2 Accounts with 6,001 HP or more in January 2025:
- save at least 3,000 HP author and curation rewards by 19 December 2025.
Disclaimers:
- Any account that powers down during January to bring their account under 6,000 HP will be disqualified from the Prize Draw.
- Any account with less than 6,001 HP which has earned sufficient HIVE through author and curation rewards over all time to take them over the 6,000 HP threshold will only be eligible for inclusion in Class 2.
- Only HP earned through author and curation awards in the savings period will be eligible for the prize draw.
Eligible accounts on Friday 19 December 2025 will be entered into a random draw using the Wheel of Names. The winning accounts will be published on Saturday 20 December 2025. There will be one prize in each class. Prizes will be transferred on Thursday 1 January 2026.

HSBI for HPUD
Saturday Savers Club supports the monthly HIVE POWER Up Day (HPUD): everyone who is registered on the Savers Chart, takes part in HPUD, writes an HPUD post and links it in the comments wins an HSBI sponsored by @shanibeer. More about HSBI.
Saver of the Year
Every year in December, members of the Club submit nominations and vote for Saver of the Year with prizes! Watch out for the invitation to submit nominations at the beginning of December.
Housekeeping
Some rules to keep us all safe and make life easy:
- Please do not reblog or share Saver posts without the author's consent.
- Please do not use tipping bots (eg LUV, BEER, INDEEDLY, BBH, LOLS etc) in the comments on Saturday Saver Club posts. Having a comments section full of of tipping notications slows down the Club's record keeping and puts off people who are looking for information and useful links shared by Savers.
Many thanks for your co-operation!
The Collaborative Wallet
HIVE is set up so that everyone benefits from everyone else. We can use this to build our savings and support other savers at the same time. Here's what you can do:
Vote for @eddie-earner posts - all HIVE, HBD and H-E token rewards on posts are exchanged for HIVE and powered up to grow the EDS fund and increase the EDSI HIVE income every week. It's the magic of compounding plus a virtuous circle plus time! Never miss a post by setting up an autovote with Hive.Vote.
Build your network by visiting everyone's savings posts and commenting and, where you can, leaving a vote.
Carry the Saturday Savers Club banner in your signature at the bottom of your savings post.
Write your own post now and then about the Saturday Savers Club and EDS and why you are involved or talk about it in your HPUD post.

Here we go for 2025! Primary goal is to reach 10K HP, currently at 6,333. Hopefully I can push it to 12K later in the year.
Secondary goal is to finally push my PIMP to over 50K because I didn't make it last year. Currently at 33.5K!

Here's my goals for the year. Good luck to everyone who joins I hope you all make your goals!
We're alive in 2025. Good to see you join in again. You've a hefty HBD savings. Good luck on reaching your goal. Take care.

There's not many options available anywhere that give 15% interest so I'm making sure to take advantage of it. If it stays at 15% I should get 686 HBD interest over the year, but there's 200 accounts with more in savings than me. I was amazed to find myself #82 on author rewards for 2024 though!
Yes, let hope the 15% holds throughout 2025. Being in the top 100 in author rewards is a nice accomplishment. Take care.

I'm so excited to join my first ever Savers Challenge.
Primary goal: reach 1,500 HP by the end of 2025
Secondary goal: reach 1,200 HBD by the end of 2025
I must admit, i'm relatively new to this challenge and still learning the rules. So i appreciate everyone posting about the Savers Challenge. Best of luck to all of us!
Welcome @jane911x 😍
Glad you joined us Jane, welcome to the club! You are more than halfway to your goals and I believe you can achieve them. Good luck💗
This year is gonna be a busy year as my second son was born on.. January 1st 😍
Which is lovely and might help not fall for fomo traps as 2021 was full of those. Luckily most of the stuff I got into that year is still going and last year I mostly built my hive, dbond and spi stacks plus dca into some more bitcoin. O and getting the crypto.com visa cashbacks which have slowly gained some significance over time.
So this year I'll need to take some gains and being busy with kids helps distract me from the day to day crypto drama and fud or fomo. First goal will be 8k HBD in savings providing 100 a month in interest (given the 15 percent holds up) not sure about the second one, probably need to sell a good chunk of btc, eth, sol and cro. But note sure how a negative goal would work hehe
Also looking forward to XV wrapping up in the near future, should be good!
😍
Let's go for the new year goals: 5000 HP and 1000 HBD in saving.

Hi @servelle, good to see you, thank you for joining us this year 😍.
Please don't use tipping bots on Saturday Savers Club posts. I appreciate your kindness, but the comments are the Club's records - we want to make it easy to see the information and work with it.
Many thanks for your help! 😍
Oh, I understand sorry, it's a habit with me, I'll be careful. 😀
😍
This year I will try to finish with more than 2800 HP of power. It is a nice figure and I hope to be able to surpass it. I hope that all the savers achieve their goals.
Thank you for this opportunity to share our progression
My 2024 Hive Power goal was 10k, but I am at 9.6k Hp.
Hive Basic Dollar target was 1k, however it is at 648HBD

Peace
Happy New Year all and yes, time to set the goals for year 2025 in the Saturday Savers Club.
Please save my 2 goals: Hive Power - 15K, Leo Power - 15K.
I will be coming up with a detailed blog, thanks.
Added screenshots of Hive Power as required.
Happy New Year, Saver Friends ! 😀
My goals for 2025 are;
Primary: Add 3500.4 HP
Secondary: Add 620 HBD from earnings plus interest (i.e. excluding ones I just go and buy)
Here's my Week 1 post which explains my goals (and how I got to them) in more detail, as well as the first week's progress (I've taken it from the end of last week, so it's not an exact match for the year, but is the closest match for whole weeks).
https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@alonicus/saturday-savers-2025-progress-report-week-1-setting-goals-for-the-year
Also, here's my screenshot from Hivestats.io:
I’ve set my sights on reaching 7,500 HP and staking 25,000 SPS—ambitious, right? But hey, go big or go home!
Actually, my goals have leveled up since my first post in 2025 (you can check it out here: My First HivePUD Post). Back then, I thought my targets were pretty bold, but now, I’m aiming for the stars!
Sure, the Hive price soaring lately has me feeling a little skeptical (and maybe holding my breath), but isn’t that all the more reason to dream big? Big goals mean big motivation—and a lot more hard work. So, wish me luck, and feel free to drop by the link to see where it all started!
Here's my Week 1 post : https://ecency.com/hive-140084/@rqr4/setting-my-goals-for-2025
OK so this year, my goals are:
-to get my HP back up to over 10k and recover what I had to spend for bills
-and 500 EDSI
This is super lovely and I'm so glad to join this year. Let's see how the year unfolds for us savers. Here's my screenshot from hive.io
And here's my current Hive Power and HBD Savings.
My Primary goal this year is to reach 10,000 HP and have 500 HBD in Savings.
My Secondary goal is to have a 100 HBD in Savings in my alt account (I currently have 35 HBD), and also to have 300/365 posting days at least by the end of the year.
I do have a question, though. Do we have to make a post every week talking about our progress and all?
Welcome @jhymi 😍,
The only things that you are asked to do as a member of Saturday Savers Club is:
Making posts is optional and not part of the requirements of being a member. Some Savers like to do posts, though, either weekly or monthly or just when it is convenient. For other people, it doesn't really fit with what their blog is about (they may mainly write about travel or food) and it would be a bit strange to have saving posts in the middle 😂.
Lol Okay. I get it now. Thank you so much for the welcome and clearing this up. It was truly insightful.🥰
Welcome to the club Tessa and all the best to you on your set goals😉
Regarding your question, it is not necessary to make a post each week. You can just comment about your progress on the weekly announcement post :)
Thank you so much, friend. I will do well to do that. Hope you reach and surpass your goals as well.🥰
Hello, savers. Let’s make it happen again, growing up together.
I keep my main goal, I want to achieve 15000 HP. No secondary goal for me.
My starting line:
Happy saving week to everyone. 🤗
15k HP is achievable for you :) I wish you the best this year. Happy saving💗
I agree with that, it’s achievable, but this year I want to take some profit. I have the 100% HP rewards for all my posts and I plan to change it to 50% HP/50% HBD in a few months. The growth rate will suffer a little after that. 😅 I wish you all the best for your saving journey and real life too, dear. ❤️🤗
That would be a good move. The bull cycle isn't forever so we must take advantage of it. I'm also making adjustments on mine :) Thank you and here's to a fantastic 2025 for us all. 🥂
Yay!! I have been gone for so long but I am here to resume and I will be dragging @enyitee and @jhymi with me, that is if they want to. What do you say Girls?
Here is my first post for the year, detailing my goals: https://inleo.io/@deraaa/back-to-the-beginning-my-first-ssc-post-for-the-year-2025-l3x?referral=deraaa
My Primary Goals for the Year:
Secondary Goals for the Year:
Sure, love. Thank you for drawing my attention to this. I'll get on it immediately.
Awesome goals you have here! I'm sure you will check them off within the year. All the best :)
Thank you very much 😊❤️
I'm back and gonna try my best to do every week this time 😅
Goals for 2025:
HP:
Current: 1000
Target: 1600
BRO:
Current: 40
Target: 50
I had been pondering what my goals would be this year and finally had 2 targets set:
Main: 2.5k HBD Savings
Secondary: Recurring Buy of $2 worth of sats a day
Wrote them on my recent post so I would not change my mind, lol!
All the best everyone and here's to another awesome year!
Welcome All Savers to a new year of savings & fun.
I am looking forward to sharing with & following all for another interesting year ahead.
My Goals for this year are to growth my Hive to 6000 HP and a secondary goal of 5000 Leo. I'm keeping it simple this year.
I, of course, love to take part in this giveaway......
Hello everyone. These are my goals for this year.

Let's have some (more) fun!
I've been feeling under the weather so haven't been able to get the specific numbers for my main savings goals for this year yet, but my main goals this year are:
~1440HP
, so my votes are past the dust threshold.I didn't get around to writing about HPUD but I did participate in it! Trying to participate in PUM too but I think I've already messed up that streak... Anyway!
I think this is the screenshot info needed for the competition:
Welcome @michael561 😍,
Hope you are feeling better!
Goals for the year:
Primary is 10,000 HP or 3,500 HBD or a mix of both with Hive at 35 cents.
Secondary is 5k LEO
Welcome, @logen9f 😍
That is awesome! Go for it😉
Here is my blog for this week's update as a First One for the year.
As messaged already, I have 2 primary goals 15k Hive power and 15k Leo Power.

Thanks guys.
I am a newbie, but am sure I will learn from you guys
😍
Welcome! Feel free to ask questions if you have any :)
This is the evidence to qualify for entry to the Prize Draw
From hivestats.io this shows how many author and curation rewards you have earned at the start of the savings period. We will ask for a similar snapshot at the end of the savings period to show how many author and curation rewards you've earned during the savings period (we'll remind you nearer the time).
This image is from the Peakd wallet. You can use any wallet as long as the image includes your user name and the amount of Hive and Hive Power you have at the start of the savings period.
We will use both pieces of information to check your eligibility for Class 1 or Class 2 for the Prize Draw. A post showing who has qualified for entry for each class will be published Sunday 2 February 2025.
Good luck everyone!
@eddie-earner! @servelle likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @servelle. (4/5)
