How's your week been? Did you hit your savings target? Tell us in the comments below!
Today's post by @shanibeer writing as @susie-saver.
Many thanks to @raj808 for the banner design π
EDS, @eddie-earner's income token, EDSMMs and EDSMs are part of the SPInvest family including SPI (@spinvest), EDS (@eddie-earner) and XV (@spinvest). SPinvest Family Motto: Get Rich Slowly.
I think the safety topic, protecting your keys and identity, the use of keychain extension, as well as how voting mana works is the most important for newcomers and also the management of tags and second layer tokens.
Hive ecosystem is so complex.
My report for this week:

Good ideas - tags I'll add to the posting topoic. Second layer tokens I'll add later in the programme - I'm thinking about the essentials here.
Keychain extension - in the first five weeks or later in the programme?
I think keychain extension is very important and related to security, so in the first weeks for newcomers

Okay, that's helpful, thank you π

Happy Saturday, saver friends ! π
Here's my update for the week - https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@alonicus/saturday-savers-2024-progress-report-week-45
In terms of topics to help new savers, all the ones you've listed are great ideas and ones I think are essential. Another one you could consider is working with volatility, covering both the resilience needed, as well as how to make the most of it for account growth and identifying exit points for when volatility turns into a death spiral.
I think this is a bit more advanced? We could start to cover resilience in the session about attitude? At least introduce the (roughly) four-year cycle? What do you think?
Yep, it definitely fits into the "attitude" one. I'm not sure about introducing the four year cycle, because it implies predictability, so it might be better to handle it under risk management but also teach a couple of techniques specific to Hive that help protect assets and build accounts (e.g. trading between HIVE and HBD).
Okay - that's a later, though π
A few months ago I changed my annual goals to 120 hbd ando 7500 hp
Thank you for letting me know. Apologies if I missed your comment before. I'll update the Savers Chart next week π
DonΒ΄t worry.
Have you any feedback on the ideas for next year?
Yes, I do!
Perhaps, in addition to the annual challenge, place mini-challenges for specific purposes such as Mother's Day, summer vacations, birthdays, so that others are encouraged to participate in those that are shorter in duration.
Ah yes, they are some good ideas! π
arrived in my lovely winter quarters to stack more eds the next few months. a little more than 80 to go to hit my current target ;)
Lovely! π
Congratulations to the winners. I think goal setting, savings plans, Savers Chart, safety first, money/wealth, savings, risk coupled with posting guidelines and blogs
Thank you for your feedback @kyoba π
Congrats to everyone for your weekly saves and thanks to @hoosie for his hard work.
This week was a bit better for me and I hope the Christmas rally includes Hive and this helps me out.
I'm interested in the topic of security for 2025.
https://ecency.com/hive-167922/@yeckingo1/saturday-saver-s-club-challenge-ba0fd2ea3a33b
What do you think about the ideas for next year in the post?
Hi, dear savers!
Congratulations to the winners and to all who achieved their goals.
My dates for this week:
Goal: 15000 HP
Total last week: 12187 HP
Added: 110 HP
Total this week: 12297 HP
To go: 2703 HP
In relation to the topics to be addressed for novices, I suggest to start with the security of the account, the operation of the voting system and the importance of accumulating hp.
Happy saving week! π€ !LUV !PIZZA
I believe security of the account, operation of the voting system and importance of accumulating HP would be so helpful.

π
I was going to pull most of my HDB to buy Hive but missed the bottom. Given how awful the price still is I may still, though I'm not sure it is safe given the opposite correlation to BTC.
What do you think about the ideas for next year in the post?
Still piling up the HP, at 5482, so left the 5K goal in the dust sometime back!
PIMP I'm at 31K, means a little less than 19K to go to make it to 50K!
https://v3.ecency.com/hive-167922/@thebighigg/my-week-in-review-for-november-9-2024-kxy
Good stuff @thebighigg π
What do you think about the plans for next year? Any thoughts?
Winning the lottery would be nice, but since I don't buy tickets it's not going to happen! lol
I'll have to start kicking around some ideas there, like HP 10K which should be ridiculously easy. Maybe 12.5K?
Hehe, I was talking about the plans for the Club next year in the post π
I'll have to figure some out, I may have to survive the holidays first!
Hehe π

What do you think we should focus on in the first few weeks of next year? There are some ideas in the post. Welcome your feedback.
concerning the saturdaysavers community I would prefer a focus on budgeting, money-mindset and motivating each other achieving our savings-goals : )
That sounds good, thank you π
Another week closer to the end of the year, looks like I may miss one of my targets but we keep striving!
Good to see you @doombot75 π
What do you think of the plans for next year?
Looks great, Iβm looking at my personal budget already, amazing what you can save if you donβt have a coffee on the way to work.
So true! π

The plan for goal setting for 2025 - Some points including some of those from this blog:
safety first: protecting your keys and identity, voting mana.
posting guidelines, blogs and communities.
savings plans, Savers Chart.
Communication and engagement for more success on Hive.
Curation and benefits of curation trails.
Thank you for your feedback, really helpful!
Thank you @shanibeer, good day :)
totally agree to this suggestion as a newbie
Great, thank you :)
hello savers here is my current report:
https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@noctury/my-weekly-hive-progress-and-goals-118
For new savers i would think the first thing should be security. Then guidelines for posting - cause if they come into the radar of hive watch early they will likely leave again. Then knowledge about tokens and projects on hive.
I question will someone else take over the Savers of the Week initiative - or will you ask people to apply for it - i liked it very much
Thank you for the feedback.
I plan to ask in the new year whether anyone would like to do the Savers of the Week post. Glad you liked it, it was good for Savers π
my update this week
https://inleo.io/@dewabrata/saturday-savers-club-update-bbho-in-my-watchlist-hwb
I add BBHO and BBH on my watchlist. I haven't set my next year goal, I think now is too soon. maybe near christmas is the ideal one.
What do you think of the Saturday Savers Club plans for the first few weeks of the year?
I think its better we go with things that related directly with savings such as goal setting, how a good simple table to monitor your savings, or free write about savings.
I don't believe any of us here are new, and I think all of us here join this club after we settled on Hive. when and if there will be a wave of new users, I don't think they will go directly into this club. there are already several good onboarding projects, better we working together with them rather than devising our own programs to help new users.
Thank you @dewabrata. I am inviting a community to specifically join Saturday Savers Club, this is why we are having the conversation.
π
Congratulations to all the winners.
I think one thing we should focus on is "safety first: protecting your keys and identity, voting mana." since many of us are still not clear on how it works and we've been at it for a while now.
My weekly savings https://ecency.com/hive-167922/@tokutaro22/2024-saturday-saver-s-club-9507d403faa3b
Thank you @tokutaro22
π
Next year I will flip and go back to my main account for Saturday Savers.
I like how your onboarding will bring savers. It is something I am mulling over, as I together with @deraaa am putting together a website and a third of it will be dedicated to saving methods and techniques etc.
If as a result of that people come onto Hive then that is great news, as we too will also be focusing on that part.
So looking at your list I would about all the different front ends. It is a minefield, for example the other day I saw a guy in threads saying he loves this shortcontent and had created an account in Inleo threads and another account to use Ecency waves without realising the different front ends were all connected to Hive.
π
Good point - we'll add that early!
Interesting news about the website - this is separate to Hive but could/would provide a route to Hive?
Part of the thinking behind building the Saturdays Savers Club community was to create a (comparatively) easy way into Hive. For the Club, the minimum you have to do is comment - state your goals and report your progress each week - so people can start there (and stay there) or build their involvement. That means, regardless of time, people can have a toe-hold, be learning about Hive and saving, without having to make a massive commitment.
We had a great response when we ran the Saturday Savers Club workshops in the summer, they were both full, there was a lot more awareness and participation (sadly, in some cases, through well-known scams) and we had some follow up, three joined and one is earning crypto - yay!

Hey all, just want to share that I have met both my primary and secondary post as mentioned in the post below.
https://peakd.com/hive-125125/@vaynard86/hive-savings-goal-status-update-nov-2024
It was a crazy journey and thank you all for the support to reach the goals.
Till the end of the year, I will be attempting to cross the 10k HP mark if I can and also improve my EDS amount as much as I could to get myself into a good position for the new year.
Happy saving everyone!
