This is not a general marketing proposition, I just took the time to help out with a few details that I assure you can contribute a bit.

Anyone can use this very basic advertising campaign.

Because marketing is more complete.

Below I present a strategy to attract people to Hive, based on the problems that occur in traditional social media such as banning, censorship and data manipulation.

To create a marketing campaign you need a lot of money, because you have to reach as many people as possible, but because you don't have a reasonable marketing budget, I present the following strategy:

Currently, traditional outbound direct marketing is done, commenting directly on the tweets of people who talk about the problem of social media.

Some techniques and tactics are needed to complement it to be more effective.

What should be done to improve the attraction strategy?

First phase

Create a copy for the purpose of Hive and what problems it aims to solve and how, this can be presented in a video and presentation.´

The first thing is to make a call to the Hive communities to join the campaign so that they are aware of the new incorporations and that within their community they talk about the importance of being in Hive due to the problems of the traditional social media.

Organize events related to social media in blockchain as alternatives, involving external communities.

Improve the experience of users who are already on Hive, so that they can recommend Hive and can be testimonials.

Second phase:

Improve the SEO about Hive, creating content in different social networks so that people who are interested in Hive or can find more information positioned, for this should be created at least 2 content map.

The generic content map should be managed with a strategy where content related to different relevant topics about Hive is generated as an alternative to traditional social networks, for example:

  • What to do if I get blocked on Twitter
  • Social networks in blockchain the new way to communicate without censorship
  • Take care of your data in traditional social networks
  • Twitter continues to block its users

Also, it is possible to publish informative content, talking about people who have been affected by the censorship policies of Twitter.

The important thing is to provide value to the viewers and to get the information that will attract them and encourage them to investigate further.

Map or funnel of content on Hive, you must apply the technique of inbound marketing to create content related to Hive, respecting the attention of viewers, not to generate direct marketing, you must create a specific connection with each user profile we want to bring to the blockchain.

  • Create video marketing, ebooks, post writings, among others.
  • The important thing is to create a system to attract, convert or involve and finally retain.
  • The attraction phase is very important to have content that generates awareness and that people can evaluate and validate the potential of Hive.
  • For retention, a protocol must be created to monitor new users, in order to measure the effectiveness of the campaign in the medium term.

3 Phase (Optional)

  • Create landing pages that allow us to create databases of people who are interested in Hive.

  • There you can host video about Hive, ebook, reports about Hive, publication templates, among other things

Key points for the execution of any strategy.

  • Be clear about the objective and purpose.
  • Define the target audience ( Mini market study)
  • Creating groups that help with the execution of the plans that are autonomous with the principle of having more agility, is considered a system of inverted pyramid management.
  • The action above all, avoid meetings and group conversations for more than 30 min, therefore it must create an effective communication.
  • Convene people who want to collaborate (graphic designers, content creators, marketers, grown hackers, influencers, developers, among others)
  • Testing, measuring and improving with speed will help us reduce all the friction that new users may have when joining Hive.

Consideration:

Due to the lack of budget and time of the people who join to collaborate with this small strategy, the positive results can last a little longer.

The applications must collaborate with the communication, since they are the main product and so the technical support must support.

Each phase mentioned here should be developed further.

Might sound dumb but i think a basic animated video showing people what hive is and how it works, how you use it and get paid, where the money comes from would go a long way. That and a wallet that is simple. Sure we have Hive wallet here but it has about 10 thousand keys to look after, backup accounts etc.

Hello @enrique89, thank you for taking the time to write this. I have some ideas to promote HIVE, and I'm currently working on a surprise that I may show in some days/weeks. There are so many things that we can do to onboard users here. We need investors, developers, and content creators. I think that we also need a way to compensate content consumers that do not have the possibility to be curators.

Yes, this is something very basic because I think that all the bases must be created before doing a Google Ads or Facebook campaign. Such as:

  • Expand the existing market.

  • Study what trend we want to create and in sync.

Among many other things.

We can draw on initial startup models to start, Japanese and Silicon Valley style.

I also don't believe giving money to places like Facebook and Google ads is the answer at all. Those are the platforms we are looking for people NOT to use why fuel them more?

Inbound marketing is creating content that others share on those platforms for free and draws the right people over to Hive and LeoFinance etc. We don't want to be teaching people what crypto is and how it all works we want the people already vested into it and understand it. Much less of a learning curve.

It is a very basic and general approach but it helps many to establish new marketing channels.

I have an idea. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've thought about it and think I've just decided to seek permission to test it.

There's an investigative journalist who's work I follow I'd like to get into Hive, but I haven't been able to dazzle him enough to give it a look. I did create an account for him and secure his name on the chain. I haven't checked lately but I imagine he hasn't changed the keys.

I'm thinking of asking his permission to link his work into hive under his account, link his tweets to dapplr, things like that.

If he's ok with it I'll try to dedicate a little bit of time each day or at the very least weekly to updating. Once his followers and holdings grow large enough I'll have his attention.

How about that? Everyone pick one person who's work you follow and you can likely reach via twitter and start an account in their name. Reach out and tell them you've done it and would like to transfer it over to them so they can begin earning additional income on their posts.

If they don't show interest ask to post their work on their behalf.
Until they take over the account leave the funds alone, but periodically update them on how much they have sitting their and use the opportunity to remind them of the benefits of staking.
