Earlier today I did a post about tags, using Proof of Brain community as I thought it's the appropriate community to share my post with.
In my post I gave a few examples, about tag misuse and used the proper form of tags, like this #leofinance. The 3 used tags were leofinance, leo and cooking.
In the tag section of the post, I used the tags I saw fit, intentionally leaving out leofinance, as although many new users could use the guidance I'm sharing, the post doesn't belong there.
After posting it I noticed the app placed the 3 tags I used in the body of the post into the tag section as well, which is a problem.
I don't use tags in the body of my posts, so this was a first and had to find out that tags are treated as tags no matter where they are used.
What's done is done, I can't change it, now my post is visible in the leofinance community as well, so my apologies.
Lesson learned! Don't use tags in the body of your post!

I think stuff like this happens and it’s totally fine.
This is why we have the downvoting feature which can (when accounts are set up properly) only impact LEO rewards. Downvotes are a governance mechanism for the community rewards ecosystem and I think too many people view them as a largely negative thing.
Instead, when one-off things like this happen, the community should curate both with up and down votes to dictate the flow of rewards.

Thanks for your point of view. I'm glad you're here as I'd like to ask you something.
What happens when someone enlists like 10 - 15 extra tags at the end of the post, plus the usual tags in the tag section? Will those extra tags appear as tags too? In my case I guess I had 10 tags in total, so I don't know what would have happened if I would have used 11 or more tags.

I saw someone yesterday with 3 lines of tags, so I think its possible to have over 10 tags if tagged in the body.
But I am not 100% sure! And I dont remember the post x)
I have seen posts like you mentioned above too. That is clearly abuse and that's why the 10 tag rule has been set. However, I don't know how it's treated by the blockchain.

Ye no, not sure why its "allowed" and not hard capped at 10 tags or however it works. Not a coder xD

Based on what I've just experienced, I can advise everyone to not use the usual tag format, like #leofinance for example, in case you don't want the tag used. Better leave 1 space between. Like this # cooking
I keep thinking about this but if we have the 10 tag rule, why tags in the body of the post still count?
